  1. This is what we were talking about. Who cares? Let it go. His team isn't playing well, and the Bears are. Why would he give credit to the Bears, as a Panthers fan, his concern is how his team is playing? Please, let it go. Thank you. As it is, the Bears have shut a lot of people up (including, admittedly, myself) with this game.
  2. One quarter left in this deconstruction of my team's Super Bowl chances.
  3. Luckily for Bears fans, we still can't move the football. Stephen Davis catches Moose-itis and drops a decent pass, and then the Bears D-line tips it, and then Delhomme throws it to nowhere on 3rd down. We may never score a point again.
  4. Absolutely huge break for the Panthers as Orton throws behind Moose and it's tipped into Ricky Manning's hands. It's amazing to me that as bad as Carolina has looked, they're still only down 13.
  5. I watched the Panthers team that went 1-15 and had Chris Weinke at QB, and that team looked better than this team is looking. This is depressing. The Panthers aren't going anywhere this postseason.
  6. Like I said before, I don't care how good the opposing defender is, there's no excuse for allowing him to strip your QB two times in one game. Travelle Wharton is one of many Panthers that has not looked good at all in this game. Which has been a direct result of the Bears D. Its ok to give them credit, you guys arent the first team they have done it too. Am I allowed to give them credit while also noting that my own team is failing?
  7. Why don't you stop playing up the Bears to be gods? Yes, their defense is playing extremely well, but if Jake doesn't throw two TERRIBLE passes, it's 3-0 Chicago. And he's been off all game even with time. Why do you keep playing up the Carolina offense to be this amazing machine that can't be stopped by any defense, let alone the top one in the NFL? Amazing machine? No. Capable of avoiding being shut out? Yes. Well, apparently not. You're completely missing my point. If Carolina's offense was playing as well as they could, then they could at least get on the board in this game. Chicago's D has been unreal, but no team should ever be shut out for an entire half, let alone an entire game. Something's wrong if that happens.

  10. Travelle Wharton (Panthers LT) should be fired. No matter how good Alex Brown is there is no excuse for letting him by that much. This team is self-destructing.

  12. Jake's two picks were both unforced errors. Without them it's 3-0. I'm pretty sure that's what Fox meant. He was being pressured on both those picks, those picks were a result of the Bears front four. He was not so pressured as to have to throw terrible balls. You're giving Jake too much credit to not think he could throw a bad ball without pressure. Who's that idiot #19 and why does he think he can bat the ball out of the endzone and have it not be a touchback?
  13. Now Gaines is down. Here we go with the injury parade again.

  15. Lame If record is all that matters why even let anyone vote? Why not just rank them all by record, with SOS being the tie breaker between the same records? If record is so insignificant, why keep score? We'll just let everyone play for the length of a game, and at the end of the season we'll let people vote to determine which of the 117 teams was the best. That's not what I meant and we both know that. Record is not irrelevant, but there's more to a team than won/loss record. How they got to that won/loss record is also important. And UCLA got crushed by Arizona, who was a bad team this season. Oregon is a good team, but I would have no worries taking OSU or ND to beat them.
  16. But hey, never mind.
  17. On 3rd and 21, with the other team's pass D being what it is, would YOU take a shot downfield? I think you have to give yourself a chance to make a play. I'm not saying a 25 yard pass, but at least a 10-15 yard slant or something and hope that your WR could break one. I'd have more confidence in my WR making a catch and run for 22 yards than my RB breaking a 22 yard run. That's how guys like Nathan Vasher make their money. Foolish O-coordinators trying to get an impossible 3rd and long and QBs forcing throws into coverage on said 3rd and longs. 3rd down for Chicago. A 3 and out would be great for us.

  20. Yeah this one's definitely over if we can't get a decent play without holding being called.
  21. Fox might as well order Jake to go up and spike the ball for all the good that running the ball is doing.
  22. Ok, I think that's enough of those screen passes.
  23. What a bunch of crap. The play by play guy says that Peppers's broken hand hasn't affected his play. Anyone who watches this team can tell that playing with ONE FREAKIN HAND has limited Julius a lot. I'm going to get some food. Maybe when I get back my team learns how to play offense.
  24. I hate this. I finally get to watch a game and my team runs into a buzz-saw.
  25. We're not in FG range. We need at least 10 more yards.
