I feel like SSR, because I'm sick of saying: BC IS NOT IN THE BIG EAST, THEY ARE IN THE ACC Not cool that the Big East is sucking, sort of stomps on my "Big East rules" bandwagon. But the best of the teams (Pitt, UConn, Nova, Gtown) are yet to come.

The sad part is that Selig rigged this for us from the start by purposely not putting the US anywhere near Venezuela, DR, or any of the other Latin American teams that are probably beyond our level, then hiring umps that would screw all the American opponents at every opportunity. And our team was still crappy enough to lose. -
Damn it, I'm going to lose a Sweet 16 team (IU). 10-2 so far, but if these 4 games all finished now, I'd be 1-3 in this pod. Not good.

Unless IU loses later tonight, it's exceedingly unlikely that I'll lose a 2nd-weekend team on Day 1. Which is much better than last year. when I lost Pitt, an elite 8 team, in one of the first games.

I'm 5-0, but Nevada is probably going to ruin that by losing to Montana. I'll take 6-1 though if Bama can hold on, please.

Crap, Marquette's taken the lead on Bama and Nevada's back down by nine. Pretty much the complete opposite of what I wanted to happen there.

Which team is supposed to be favored here? Winthrop is playing better, running harder, and wants it much more than UT right now.

It's not even close to cheating the system. What about all the people with multiple fantasty teams? Are they cheaters if they win one league? Do you pick one stock and stick with it win or lose? Do you pick one spouse to......, nevermind that one. If you want to fill out one, go ahead. If you want to enter 10 pools and use the same sheet, go ahead. But don't go around judging other people who are smart enough to hedge their bets. Hey, I'm not judging. It's not like you're shooting up your brackets with cow steroids or anything. Multiple brackets in ONE pool would be one thing, but if one spreads multiple brackets around to different pools, I don't object. Never have. And, Winthrop looks like the better team.

Well, not a perfect example, but the point was that it's kind of cheating the system without technically doing anything wrong kinda thing.

Win the pool. I don't know a single person who uses the same picks for every pool they enter. I think its more real if I only make one pool. Use the same picks throughout. What is more real? I rarely enter more than one pool. If I did, I'd pick new ones the next time. I don't even remember half the picks I made in the only one I did. You don't win this stuff by "knowing" college basketball. Your point's taken Goony, but to me, I equate it to buying 20 lottery tickets. Sure, you have a shot at winning with any one of them, but it just isn't quite as cool to win with one of many rather than your one-shot.

It's possible - it's possible that the SEC has taken this throwback thing too far by having Bama bust them out in the Dance.

I've got Tenn, Florida, Nevada and Bama winning, but UT is the only Sweet 16 team I have in this bunch, so no real concerns.
