    Last time Prior had minor shoulder issues, he didn't pitch until June. Season in severe jeopardy of being over.

    Loaiza sucks. Japan loads the bases with no one out, then a two-run single, and a two-run homer. 4-0 Japan.

    Loaiza dodged another bullet (2nd and 3rd with 1 out) in the 3rd inning. After 3, it's still scoreless.

    How come we couldn't ever get decent major leaguers who could consistantly hit .300 for minor league pitching when that was all we had to offer a few years ago? Too reluctant to trade the pitching. Now most of that pitching has been injured and/or didn't pan out. I blame the scouting dept who hasn't been able to help Hendry recognize when to make a trade or not. The Cubs haven't traded a minor leaguer at their peak value yet. Sanchez? Beltran? Choi? Bobby Hill too...

    There's a better than decent chance that this would be the most anticipated, watched and heated national title game ever if it actually came to fruition.

    My 12 was Utah State over Washington... My double-digit seeded Sweet 16 team is Wisconsin-Milwaukee... And my surprise Final Four team is West Virginia. I wholeheartedly expect none of these three to work out.

    So am I. But that includes Memphis, and that's why I picked Raisin's Bruins to go to the title game.

    Everything about Gwynn was bigger at the end of his career, though... I agree with K-Town, though. There's no reason to be banning Mac and Sammy until we get something more concrete than "look at their behavior at the Congressional hearing and look at their muscles".

    Today's Sun-Times blurb stated that the Cubs are leaning towards another simulated game rather than him making an ST start, but they still insist he'll be ready for April 5th.

    Hopefully when Illinois lands a great 2007 recruiting class and they play together for two years. Even though that UNC game sucks (mostly because I think Illinois played really bad in the first half), that Arizona game is still one of my favorite all time memories of college basketball. Sadly enough, my favorite college basketball memory isn't even a post-season one - gotta go with the week in December 2002 when Notre Dame beat #10 Marquette, #5 Maryland and #2 Texas in the span of 7 days. That was outstanding.

    No. other than buck being a complete idiot, why wouldn't they play one of the best hitters on the team in this, such a pivitol game? There is really no other reason. But hopefully today's performance convinced him to play DLee at first from now on, and to hell with spreading around the PT.

    I'm You Just Got Pittsnogled. (I'm buying that shirt if he somehow ends up on the Bulls after the draft) And I have three Big East teams in the Final Four, which I'm sure I'll regret, but I'm sticking with my guns.
