  1. Given what we know about the brain inside Sammy's (not really that large) head, and given the sheer volume of other people who have been caught or had large amounts of circumstantial evidence presented against them, and given that no one other than bitter columnists, bitter ex-Cubs, and witch-hunters looking to convict anyone who gains some muscle during their prime, I am finding it harder and harder to believe Sammy used steroids. I mean, seriously, I don't think anyone would argue that Sammy Sosa is the most intelligent guy on the planet - so how does he dodge ALL the circumstantial evidence when generally intelligent people such as Barry Bonds get all this dirt on them? I just feel like I need more than muscle growth and refusing to submit to a witch hunt at Congress to convict Sammy, especially considering that there's no way of knowing if he would have been able to put on muscle at a younger age had he grown up in the U.S. In other news: Grace is still a bitter whining douchebag. Mark and many others need to learn that retiring does not mean you have creative license to attack anyone you feel like attacking. Shut up and have some respect for people, even if you don't necessarily like them. (And I agree with whoever noted that Grace played with Sammy for YEARS, including the first three of his home run binge, and yet he can offer up no new evidence.)
  2. The stupid part is Morrison can come back next season if he wants. Redick can't.
  3. Treloar is a former IU assistant. He was an assistant under Knight along with Davis when Knight got fired. In fact, Treloar and Davis were considered the two candidates for what at the time was an interim coach position. That's right, I knew I forgot to mention something about him. I'm intrigued by both candidates but right now I'm leaning slightly in favor of Barbee because he is a dynamite recruiter.
  4. Your ranks keep getting funnier.
  5. BTW, Aldridge ended up with 26 and 13. Sign him up, please.
  6. I can only imagine - never seen ND advance that far. That was a hell of a finish, and it saved me for now. :D
  7. I just used the scenario generator on Yahoo and I can only win the NSBB pool if all my remaining possible picks are correct, and also LSU needs to beat Texas on Saturday. If any more of my picks are incorrect, I'm out. I'm probably already done in the Facebook pool.
  8. I'm so happy for Raisin. I'm even more happy that I'm still breathing in my pools. (if everything falls perfectly from here on)
  9. YES!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Thanks refs, my bracket wasn't screwed enough as it was. Cost the Bruins three points. How big would that be now?
  11. According to WRTV sports, Ball State has plans to interview LSU assistant John Treloar once they are done. Also in a radio interview, Memphis assistant Tony Barbee, an Indianapolis native, said he would be "very interested" in the BSU job if he were to be considered after Memphis is finished.
  12. What a stupid way to clinch my defeat in every single one of my pools. /bitter
  13. Please hit a 3, West Virginia.
  14. WV needs to rebound to win this game. Looks like half my title game is gonna lose. :(
  15. Well that didn't take long. The two teams I picked losing by a combined 14. WV can't do anything but hit 3's.
  16. Ironically this loss hurts me in the bracket, because I just can't see WV being able to beat Aldridge and Texas, and then being able to beat Davis, Thomas and LSU. Ugh. Go Mountaineers and Bruins.
  17. I knew that the first time Redick sucked that Duke was going to be doomed. I should've made this pick.
  18. Wow, nice defense, Duke. And Thomas blocks a shot! Tigers are in very good shape. My bracket, not so much. (Granted I had Duke out next round)
  19. I was rooting for Bradley regardless of the fact that I had Memphis winning this game. However I think the Gonzaga-UCLA winner will probably end up in the Final Four. Stupid, stupid foul by McRoberts.
  20. He's not fat, just big boned. http://hometown.aol.com/huppmoile/images/cartman.jpg Fixed.
  21. Andy

Aldridge is my best bet (which, although Aldridge is good, doesn't speak much to the quality of this draft). And I think Redick makes a better pro than Morrison but I don't think or hope the Bulls draft either of them. I think the best thing we can do is have Paxson call up Isiah again and make another trade that ensures the Knicks' crappiness again next year so we can take Greg Oden, though.
  22. I need WV and UCLA both to make the Final 4 to have a chance to win my pools. I have a bad feeling that at least one of those are going to lose tonight, though...
  23. requoted for emphasis Seriously. This team really isn't that much better than the 2003-04 incarnation. Bring on the draft.
  24. Ironically, Bush himself incorrectly credited himself for getting Sosa to the Cubs while we were making the run in 2003. He in fact traded him to the White Sox for Harold Baines.
