  1. Andy

Count me firmly against Paul Davis. Take Aldridge, and hope Tyrus or some other good player somehow falls to us at #15. And I too would rather have a sweep against Detroit than another lottery pick that really wouldn't be any more beneficial than our 8th-seed pick.
  2. In six years of picking brackets, I am now 6 for 6 on my national champion being gone before the Final 4. Four of those times they were gone before the Elite 8. And this is at least the third time I've gotten one Final Four team or less right. Bad times. Edit - And yet I won my ESPN.com Tournament Challenge pool (I'm in 1st and I'm the only one who has one of their final two alive in UCLA). That's how crazy this tournament has been.
  3. I have to pick Florida to win it all from here. They've overwhelmed all comers so far, and they have the best remaining player in the tourney in Joakim Noah. That said, my avatar reveals my true allegiances from here. I'm jealous of anyone who goes to George Mason.
  4. I like Z's passion too, but when it gets him ejected from games that doesn't help him or the team. By the way, he was ejected last year for ridiculing the home plate umpire. He has already turned his temper on the umpires. I know that. I'm saying he needs to stop that and stick to showing emotion in his own direction.
  5. I want Z to remain passionate and excitable out there on the mound, so long as he never directs it at an umpire to get himself thrown out, or at his teammates to get himself distanced from the clubhouse. I love the way Z plays and if it makes Cardinals and Sox fans hate him more, so much the sweeter when he schools them again the next time he pitches against them. :)
  6. Cubs dodge another bullet, I suppose.
  7. Gordon and Chandler's performances the last 2 games = 6th or 7th seed for the Bulls if it continues the rest of the season. Gordon had an amazing double-pump runner to put the Bulls in the lead late, and Tyson had a couple of unreal blocks, including one reversal of a Paul Pierce jam attempt that made me legitimately leap out of my seat and yell "WOW". And clutch FT shooting from Ben and Kirk sealed it. The Bulls can beat Orlando, Charlotte and Boston (for the sweep in Boston's case!) and put themselves in phenomenal position this week. Let's hope they do it.
  8. Nice job Big East. No teams in the Final Four for the 2nd straight season. I suppose I could use the "Big East beats up on its teams so bad that they're worn out come tournament time" argument, but that would be lame and stupid. I thought with as terribly depressing a season as ND had, I'd at least be vindicated by the Big East's tournament performance, but no, they all get themselves eliminated by the end of week 2 again. And I have 1 team left, UCLA. Not coincidentally, all my other Final 4 teams were Big East teams. Last time I trust this conference.
  9. A joke because they went 30-4 and lost in OT of the Elite 8? They should have lost to Washington, and almost lost to Kentucky, and did lose to GMU. And the whole time they never looked like they were even playing to win. With that much talent they should have rolled over everyone to this point.
  10. This decimates my bracket and eliminates me but I don't care that much. UConn didn't deserve to go. What a joke of a team they turned out to be. GO PATRIOTS!
  11. GEORGE MASON WINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. I can't believe my eyes looking at that scoreboard. HUGE 3 by Williams!
  13. If the Patriots win this game, they have knocked out 4 of the last 6 national champions (if you count both 04 and 99 UConn).
  14. UNREAL LAYUP BY DENHAM BROWN at the buzzer Overtime This is by far the best tourney ever.
  15. (A) - A-Rod (B) - Pujols, Dunn © - Tracy, Wright, Cantu (D) - Gibbons, Gomes, Peralta, M. Young Bonus: Chris Shelton
  16. 2 down, 5 to go for me. Congratulations to Raisin and Vance - this ought to be entertaining. :)
  17. Being a color analyst during the tournament has to be about the easiest job in the world. Nothing to say during TV timeouts. And UCLA throws it away after wasting their last 2 timeouts to avoid doing so. Wow.
  18. I'm not as high on Aldridge as I was coming in. He played tentative all game around the bigger LSU players. And you can't do that, not to mention that a lot more people will be bigger than LaMarcus at the NBA level.
  19. That's step 1. I need six more games to go according to script.
  20. Other than Illini fans and me, is anyone else on NSBB not ecstatic at their teams' performance in the tournaments this year?
  21. How did Gibson get away with a push off and stepping out of bounds at the same time?
  22. Well, Temple had a decent look there but he can't shoot 3's. OT.
  23. Best tournament ever? It is for sure if we see another buzzer beater here.
  24. Geaux Tigers! For one game anyway
  25. Wow, that was a bit of a surprise. I agree, I thought ASU was all but a done deal for him. Good to see Pitt can retain their coach for more than a couple of years this time, though.
