Sign me up. That's so one-sided (in favor of the Bulls) that its not funny. Pax can pick a big at no. 2 (probably Aldridge) and take the best available at 9. Seconded, and Murphy is far from a big step back from Tyson as a big.
  2. = Complete Game shut out The fun is in guesing the # of pitches it takes. Young lefty with an average or worse ERA. Sounds about right. You should find some tougher prognostications.
  3. Don't forget the one that had Kerry on it and said "Do You Believe?" after the Cubs beat Atlanta in 2003 I thought it said "Wood You Believe?"      It was "Do you Believe?" because it was a regional cover. The other one had Pedro and the Red Sox with the same headline.
  4. Of course he is. And they might actually be rookies if they hadn't wasted so much pine time up here last season. :x
  5. I wish ESPN would just tell it like it is. There are very few actual good managers, and there are plenty of average managers who have good players.
  6. They ARE very good. But the sheer ways in which they win sometimes (Podsednik AND Dye Game 2 WS, Pierzynski Game 2 ALCS, Podsednik GS last weekend, Boston chokes Game 3 ALDS, Graffanino Game 2 ALDS) is enough to make one wonder.
  7. The groupthink has won again

  9. I will always miss Chip and Steve, but Len and Bob have grown into the job nicely and even have somewhat of a chemistry now whereas through most of 2005 I don't think they had much of a rapport.
  10. doesn't really explain the worst offense in baseball, however. Rookies who have started games at a position other than pitcher for the Cubs this season: Angel Pagan Freddy Bynum
  11. The alltime master of this look by my standards: http://www.geocities.com/tarnished_dome/bob_davie.jpg
  12. This thread is depressing
  13. This will be my first of four games this year (thanks again Vance), but it doesn't look to be a W.
  14. It's kinda like pathetic that we outhit them and lost by 7.
  15. Not quite, I remember LA had some pretty awful teams in the late 90s - early 2000s with a payroll higher than ours.
  16. has this ever been verified as true? Hendry has said it, but he was being hypothetical. I am absolutely certain that Cincy never offered Dunn for Rich Hill, at least not straight up.
  17. Of all the person-to-person rivalries, Guillen and Mariotti would be my pick as most likely to actually kill each other.
  18. Best lineup we could have hoped for. Go D-LEE!
  19. The Red Roof on Ontario is a really nice hotel IMO. My friends and I are making it our Wrigley trip hotel for the third straight season. Right near the ESPN Zone too.
  20. I think some nsbb'ers should chip in when it gets us on Sports Center too. Hopefully its an embarassing game, so the protest coincides with the performance. I believe Z is scheduled to pitch, so it's unlikely.
  21. good. Excellent. Marmol could use some AAA time, and Guz has little left to prove down there. So good.

I like guys who have more than 20 good games a season. Tyson didn't fit under that category.
  23. The answer is, since Opening Day 2005, yes.
  24. Prior brings his good stuff, and the Cubs get shut out. It's good that the Cubs haven't forgotten how to play when he's on the hill.
