  1. This is what I knew was coming after that USC game and why I'm even more pissed off that they didn't put up a better fight.
  2. Boise and ND both look to be near-locks for BCS bowls. With Michigan already in the Rose Bowl/NC game, that leaves one spot for LSU, Florida (if they lose to Arkansas) or Louisville (if Rutgers beats WV). I'm guessing Florida loses to Arkansas and takes that final at-large slot, leaving Wisconsin vs LSU as the greatest non-BCS game of all time.
  3. Go whatever keeps an ND/Michigan (or for that matter ND/USC) Rose Bowl as far away from a possibility as you can.
  4. Thank you very much. I'll be here all day. Help is on it's way in 2007. Why does anyone think this guy is a good QB? Because he is? (I'm assuming you're talking about Quinn.) He played pretty damn good yesterday. His stats were ruined by about 7 drops of perfectly thrown balls, and he was jumping around avoiding sacks all game and still did nothing to lose the game. Not his fault the defense blows and his receivers crapped out in the biggest game of the year. No. I'm talking about Brooks... I don't give a damn about Quinn. Huh, I didn't think anyone could possibly give you the idea that Brooks could be considered by anyone as a good QB.

  6. And you had the power to insult us and cause us to play well...but nooooooooooooo Y'know, I thought about it, but NE was turning the ball over so much I thought that pulling that out might cause a reverse jinx. I'm saving it for truly special occasions. :D
  7. What a ridiculous game. Sorry Bears fans, I was rooting for you.
  8. GO RAIDERS!
  9. I said that on Monday night. I know this team too well. For the 2nd time Carolina loses to a team they should've beat against a QB making his first career start. Now they have to win at Philly next week. @$#^@! team.

  11. Carolina blocks a punt with under 30 seconds left in the half and Kasay, who's been so unbelievably reliable, punches a 51-yarder through the uprights at the buzzer to give the Panthers a 6-3 halftime lead.
  12. It seems the coaches agree with you. Do you think the BCS would take a 2-loss LSU over a 2-loss Florida if Arkansas wins the SEC title game? I agree re: the matchup. If LSU's schedule hadn't been so murderous this year maybe they'd have been able to get the SEC title and make the matchup happen. That coaches poll is interesting. I really thought that Arkansas and ND should have dropped about the same amount. Arkansas was closer (although LSU had a nice lead for most fo the second half) but ND was playing a better opponent and was playing on the road, while Arkansas was at home. I'm very surprised to see Arkansas only drop to 8 and ND drop 7 spots-there haven't been many teams in November to drop that far. I've been confused with the polls this year, but it's not that big of a deal I guess. Well, ND was probably going to plummet if they lost at all just because of their recent schedule, similar to how WV plummeted after their loss for the same reason. The score of the game just gave them the excuse to do so. But like you said, as long as they stay top 14, it doesn't really matter.

  15. Hall is terribly overrated. I really don't like him. Panthers take a 3-0 lead. DeAngelo starting this week with Foster still hurt.
  16. Not mentioned before, but Ball State clobbered Kent State 30-6 to finish up 5-7 (5-3). First 5-win MAC season since 2002. Not where we were supposed to finish, but a good stepping stone, especially with everyone important except for one Olineman and 3 defensive players coming back.

Please don't. You'll have the ability to still like it that way.
  18. I buy the T-shirts (Ramirez, Lee, Zambrano, Barrett, and Nomar)
  19. ND was helped tremendously by the fact that the two teams directly behind them also lost. If that hadn't happened they'd be in trouble. As it looks now they'll play the SEC champ in the Sugar Bowl, and I expect either to be a good game (I'd rather play Florida because McFadden scares the ever living crap out of me). Much less likely but still a possibility is a Rose Bowl rematch with Michigan. If everything falls against them they could end up in the Gator Bowl against whoever loses the ACC title game, which better be a win. I think WV's going to clobber Rutgers next week so this will all be pretty much moot then.
  20. So I take it you didn't think much of Matt Leinart coming out of USC either, right? Leinart actually won a Heisman and won most of the big games he played in. Quinn can pad his stats against Army and Stanford, but he hasn't won a big game in his career I don't think. Thanks to Ty Willingham, he hasn't played in many.
  21. ND losing to Butler doesn't look so bad anymore. :)
  22. If you knew Brady's career better you would know how rare the "Beat SC" thing was. The guy doesn't usually let people know what he's really thinking. As for the news conferences, you'd be shocked at the stupidity of some of the SB writers' questions. Trust me, he's gonna be fine.
  23. No way. Brady has a fantastic head on his shoulders.
  24. I'm guessing you don't watch ND much so it's pointless arguing this. I already made the point that there's not enough talent at ND to contend for a national title yet which you should have seen already. I hope USC brings that game to Glendale. It'll be entertaining if they do.
  25. that looks about right, but doesn't GT have a conference chamionship game to get through first? They have no excuse to lose to Wake. Just like WV has no excuse to lose to Rutgers, which is why I put Louisville in there. Grobe and Schiano have done unreal jobs at their schools but GT and WV have too much talent for them in my estimation.
