  1. I hope so! :) Nah, it should be a pretty good game. But, the Cavs have been playing pretty freaking fantastic lately.
  2. LULZ WHUT Exactly.
  3. Whoa. Wait. What? What are all of these "hints" that LeBron is dropping. I like how that was mentioned several times but there was only one example (the "knicks" shoes that were clearly Cleveland throwback shoes). I'm not naive. I understand there is a realistic possibility that LeBron goes to the Knicks. But, that is the only place I could see him going besides resigning with Cleveland. I think it's pretty ridiculous to think he'd go to the Nets, if for no other reason than his own pride. Despite the fact that they do have some talent, they are a very bad team. As much as LeBron has repeated how much he wants to win, I don't think he'd dare go to the Nets. Not unless he already has (or makes) some sort of plan with another big name free agent. I don't see how you could think that Cleveland is an "extreme dark horse." The city isn't the greatest, but it's where he grew up. He now has a great team and one of the best owners in the league. I obviously wouldn't dismiss him going to New York, but right now I'd give it about a dead on 50/50.
  4. Amidst the recent disappointment, Chicago fans have to be super pumped about Noah, right? Dude is an absolute beast. It's looking like the Bulls have two good pieces to build around now.
  5. Yeah, kind of hard to argue with the move by the Phils here, barring the final trade. They lose some prospects, but they get a pitcher of greater (or certainly at least equal) value as Cliff with the guarantee of 4 years? Easy call. Great move.
  6. Why would that statistic surprise you? Sure, the Bears aren't a very good team, but they aren't anywhere near the league of Rams-bad.
  7. The guy is 80 freaking years old. What if his own accord means coaching until he's 97 years old, blind and in a wheelchair? Leave Joe Paterno out of this.
  8. I like Nate Washington against Indy. But I think I would go with Hester and Moss. Washington will probably be behind this whole game and will be throwing. I agree with Moss. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get 8-9 catches and if he's lucky enough to get a TD it could be a huge fantasy week for him. Also, it wouldn't be too bad of an idea to pick up Henderson just because of the way Brees spreads the ball around, but I'd have to think that Hester would be a better option this week. Brees ability to spread the ball around is one of the main reasons I'm weary of Henderson. He only has 2 TD's all year, and that's due in large part to the fact that Brees apparently has about 13 other guys to throw to. Yeah, hence why Hester is probably the way to go. But, if you're predicted to lose, I'd have to say that Henderson would have a better ability to have a big game. But, it's too unpredictable with Brees sometimes.

  10. No real intention for a personal jab at the guy, and maybe it's just a bad picture, but does Bogut know what the inside of a weight room looks like? Great player, but holy hell. He looks like me. Just, you know, a foot taller. And better at basketball.
  11. wut? I'm nervous about this offseason, but I'm confident right now that Cleveland will resign him. I think he's just been doing his best to make sure we spend the money to put a good team around him. Plus, Dan Gilbert is a fantastic owner and giggles at luxury tax. To me there is only two legit spots for James: Cleveland and Miami. NY and NJ are playing themselves OUT of the sweepstakes and no other teams seem to be attractive as a destination and/or don't have the money to throw at him and/or the players/draft picks to work out a s-n-t. The only team that should scare Cleveland fans is Miami. Agreed. He doesn't need to worry about how good Miami is. If for some reason Miami could keep Wade and get LeBron, they are instant title contenders. Also, I'm not sure Cleveland would do a S-N-T for the entire Lakers roster.

  13. Well, not that it matters, but that's a whole lot less gay.
  14. Mike, I'm officially apologizing to Derek Anderson. He's probably not a good QB, but watching this atrocity I'm finally truly convinced that there's pretty much no way anyone could play well behind center in Cleveland. Which isn't to defend Brady either, he's been bad tonight. But they need some offensive playmakers if any QB is going to win for them. Yeah. Probably the worst offense to ever grace an NFL field to be honest. Our line is young, our receivers are rookies, and our tight end and running back are old and washed up. It isn't pretty.
  15. We're actually the least penalized team in the league, Jaws. But hell, while bashing on a team, feel free to make things up. The Browns are so frustrating.
  16. He ducked.
  17. Yeah. He and Jaws are just absolutely terrible.
  18. Oh. Awesome. Mangini is going to try to save his job by doing a bunch of dumb stuff on national tv. :[
  19. I am! Heh. BTW, I didn't think they could challenge a play like that?
  20. sulleymon, is that you? I'm so sick of the conservative coaching bullcrap. In college 1 minute is enough to get a field goal especially when you are on the freaking 40 or what ever it was. There is no way Iowa shouldn't be in the Rose Bowl. I'm going to puke hardcore. fire ferentz right? you're a [expletive]. I didn't say that. I said that last minute was stupid and conservative play calling is stupid. It worked out pretty well, to be honest.
  21. A large majority of the time but there are the cases like Brees, Peyton and Brady. Ah, I suppose so. But, although their win differential might not be nearly as drastic as Cutler's, I'd be willing to bet that their career records are significantly worse when then throw 35+ as opposed to when they don't.
  22. Wouldn't it be kind of obvious that when a QB throws a lot of passes he probably doesn't have a good record? Hrm.
  23. Yeah, Nash. No doubt in my mind. Kerr was a very small reason for his team's championships (except for one, obviously) in comparison to Nash's reason for his team's successes. Sure, it would suck a whole hell of a lot, but Nash was much more successful at basketball. No one will ever confuse who is the better basketball player. I'd rather go down as a hell of a good basketball player (especially with Nash who is probably a top 10 PG of all time) than a decent player who happened to luck into playing with the best player ever. Also, the money wouldn't hurt.
  24. I'm in a similar situation. Need two: Forte vs. Ari. Gore vs. Ten Rice @ Cincy Leaning towards Gore (obviously) and Rice.
  25. There's no doubt in my mind that Ariza is going to put up better numbers this year than Artest but that doesn't mean he's the better pickup. I'm not saying he isn't but with McGrady and Yao out, Ariza is one of the first two or three options on that ream when he would normally be No. 4 or 5. Artest doesn't need to score with the Lakers. He'll have games where he'll get 20-30, but with Kobe, Pau (when he returns), Odom and Bynum, Artest isn't going to be a 20 point scorer and might not be a 15 point scorer. I can agree with that. I guess I mean Ariza is a much better fit for a depleted Rockets team than Artest would have been.
