Haha, you guys really turned on Patterson, eh? So yeah, there is no way Z would keep up with Patterson, but I'm not quite sure if you said that in a joking manor.
Most baseball teams wouldn't be unlucky enough to have them all healthy, and then lose with your top 3 back to-back-to back either. Funny how things work out sometimes. Anyway, I still root for the cubs. Unless by some miracle they would meet the Indians in the WS.
That is not saying much. Hollandsworth is clearly not an everday player. Dusty gave Dubois a better chance at earning a job, than both Cedeno and Murton. He also had a chance in Cleveland to grab an everyday spot as DH, he just hasn't taken advantage of his opportunities. I don't quite think he was going to take Hafner's spot.
Every year you are 'supposed' to have these allmighty starters to complete your almighty rotation, and then somehow an injury comes up (usually Prior or Wood) to take it all downhill. Don't get me wrong, I wish you luck, but I guess I'm not as optimistic.
So, right. That'd be a horrible idea. Wood is all but gone, and your rotation isn't as gleaming as it once was. Given, Z has an incredible trade value, but I just don't think it is the time, or worth it.
