One of the more notoriously one-sided trades in the last 10 years. Twins also got Boof Bonser, but he's bleh. Even if Liriano hadn't put it back together a bit and ended up fading away, Nathan for Pierzynski would still be a big win for the Twins. The Indians got Cliff Lee, Grady Sizemore, and Brandon Phillips for Bartolo Colon. Lulz.

They do need help, regardless of their talent. All three can't play 48 minutes a game for 82 games a year. I'm not sure if you realize this, but the best two players in the NBA (when healthy) are on the same team. I think the positive far outweighs the negative here.

Korver seems like a pretty solid pickup. And, about the LeBron situation: Cleveland fans watched him do so many ridiculous things over the past few years that shouldn't have made this a big surprise. But, as Cleveland fans, it's rarely big picture. That's why I like this board so much. The game threads cause such ridiculous reactions. It reminds me of most Cleveland fans. We watched him wear a Yankees hat to an Indians' playoff game. We watched him sit on the court and whine and grimace at least 30-40 times per year as the trainer came out and had to give him medical attention. We watched fake limps suddenly heal themselves as he chased down a player on the other team to get a block. We watched him shut down when games got difficult the past two years. We listened to him answer questions about going to New York or staying in Cleveland, and soaking up every single ounce of the attention. But, no one really cared. Sure, it was annoying, but Cleveland finally had the player. We finally had the guy that other fans hated just because he was so damn good. We finally had our Michael Jordan. To top it all of, he was from Akron. The true home grown hero. I never thought he'd actually leave. I spent the past few years confidently telling people that he would stay. But, I also said that I'd understand if he left. The ridiculousness that was the past week is infuriating to even think about. The lack of respect he showed the Cleveland organization throughout this entire process is mind boggling. Sure, more needs to be done with the team. But, we finally have a passionate owner who will pay luxury tax and sell his soul to win a title. And, the nerve to get on national TV and announce it. It isn't necessarily that he was in the wrong for what he actually did as it is baffling that he would be so naive not to see what type of reaction this would get. Or, maybe he just didn't care. He's been a model citizen since he entered the league. He hasn't gotten himself into trouble and has been very PC about everything. I just, absolutely, positively can't comprehend this. I've went from a huge LeBron fan to almost hoping that at some point we see another Tiger Woods situation. I'm only 23 and I've already been mentally exhausted (sports wise) by being a Cleveland fan. Yes, I'm bitter, and that wont change anytime soon. I'm not naive enough to think LeBron wont almost certainly win a few titles with that team, but I can honestly say that I wish him nothing but the worst, professionally.

Eh, I guess I can agree with that. Every year was a different combination. Every single season/trading deadline over the past three years it was like spring training in baseball. You felt new hope and renewed confidence. Then they would manage to find some sort of way to blow it. I guess I can't really blame the guy for leaving either. But, he did it in what has to be the worst case scenario. Sign with another team. Don't turn it into a [expletive] circus.

You're kidding, right? Danny Ferry absolutely, positively bent over backwards to get new/better players in. Hughes was a huge bust. Mo Williams didn't work out as well as expected. The Shaq experiment was decent, but not fantastic. Jamison never seemed to find his spot. The whole Wally/Big Ben trade a few years ago. They surrounded him with talent. Varejao, Mo Williams, Antawn Jamison, and Shaq (a very solid 20-minute player). Anthony Parker and Delonte West were more than capable reserves. Guys like Boobie Gibson (who pretty much personally sent us to the finals in the game after LeBron's explosion game), Jamario Moon, and Leon Powe couldn't even find the floor. The whole "Cleveland didn't surround LeBron with enough talent" argument just doesn't hold water anymore. They were the second most talented team in the NBA last year, in my opinion. LeBron played absolutely, positively terrible against the Celtics. The whole elbow drama mixed in with this ridiculous drama makes the blame fall into LeBron's lap.

Haha, oh man. I love Dan Gilbert. He's such a fan. He's a bit ridiculous, but he's pretty awesome. :]

I wont lie. That made me feel better. Still. This [expletive] sucks. with the way it played out, how do you think most cavs fans are going to feel about lebron? is it full hate mode now? Facebook is going crazy. I think I'm still a bit too shocked to make a decision. I'll always enjoy having had the chance to watch him, but to go on national tv...it's just a bit much.

The city's biggest sports icons will now be umm Grady Sizemore and Joshua Cribbs? When I saw that post, I thought Joshua Cribbs. Man that's gotta suck. Ouch. Easy. I seriously feel sick to my stomach about this whole ordeal. [expletive].

To me there is mix messages in this appearances: 1: He appearances but only at the end of the rally. He stays long enough to make a statement and then leaves as quickly as he came. 2: He mentions Akron by name, but not the city of Cleveland or even the state of Ohio. 3: He says "Everything he does is for THIS (meaning Akron) city." Why not say that about the city that you know play in....like Cleveland. All in all, he needed to be there, but he didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Almost as if he felt, out of loyalty to Akron, that he needed to take time out of his business schedule (which happens to be the most stressful time of his life) and pop in and say hello to the folks who made this rally. There is a job waiting for you as an ESPN anchor.

I've never been so disappointed with a team, an effort, a coach, or an individual player in any sporting event I've ever watched. Congrats, Sulley. You were right. Credit due and whatnot. This sucks. The Brown and Indians are both at least 2-3 years away from making a fake championship run. The Cavs could possibly be done for the next decade or so if LeBron leaves. This sucks more than I can possibly describe. I'm not really all that big of a LeBron fan right now.

Name the 6 teams. Orlando, Boston, Atlanta, and? Milwaukee? Miami? Mo Williams' only improvement in Cleveland has been in 3 point shooting, everything else is either similar or worse(especially assists with LeBron getting so many) than in Milwaukee. Milwaukee with a healthy Bogut is better than a Cleveland team without LeBron. What Wade did with Miami was pretty remarkable in its own right. I think a Cavs team without LBJ would be right on par with what Charlotte did this year. A lot of Cavs fans really seem like they're underselling just how valuable James is to that team. There's still not a lot to work with around him. As ridiculous as it sounds, LeBron is partially to blame. Obviously, Shaq has been pretty bad in the playoffs and isn't even close to what he was last year. But, LeBron loves to hold the ball and do nothing with it. Even when the screen comes, he'll often take the screen, and stay outside the arc and wait for his defender to come back to him. Obviously, coaching is also a huge problem. Mike Brown's offensive idiocy is almost completely unchallenged in NBA head coaching. He hasn't found a consistent use for Jamison, and even his coaching of Shaq has been terrible. He does the whole "give him a few early post ups in the first quarter" thing that he did with big Z a few years ago. It's nothing new. In this particular series, the blame falls on Mike Brown, LeBron, and Mo Williams. They have all been pretty terrible. That said, it still isn't over.

...yeah. These last 4-5 pages have been pretty annoying and useless. LeBron isn't MJ and MJ isn't LeBron. They are different players. But, as someone already mentioned, it wasn't the fact that he missed so many shots, it was the fact that he took so few. It honestly looked like he didn't care. I saw the same thing in game two. I honestly thought he might have been hung over from the night before after getting his MVP trophy. Now, I'm completely confused. LeBron doesn't play like this. He can't shoot, can't drive, and can't pass. It honestly looked like he was trying to do his best Mo Williams impersonation. I still know that the Cavs are capable of winning two in a row against Boston, but it's still pretty depressing.

I don't know what LeBron's problem is. I haven't seen him play this bad in a real, real long time. Even his passes have usually been to a teammate that is closely covered by a Celtics' player. It's just ugly to watch.
