  1. I've been stuck for virtually the entire season in "trying not to get overly excited" mode, but I don't think I can hold back any more. With a division even worse than expected, they seem to find ways to win virtually every close game they're in. Over/Under on a collapse?
  2. Yes In that case, they should obviously try to maximize their value, but they kind of have to get rid of him, don't they? He's obviously not coming back.
  3. Judge all you want, but the nipple stickers were solid decision making. [edit] Oh, Eric is actually fat? That's pretty funny then.
  4. I do, actually. It might just be the Russian accent that terrifies me, however. Sidenote: Is this the final year in Anthony's contract?
  5. Not to go too far off topic and spout more of my typical Cleveland pity, but you're right. And, sadly, I've had more than one similar discussion about which of the Cleveland heartbreaks (Drive, Fumble, Shot, Jose Mesa, LeBron) is the worst.
  6. A friend of mine uploaded some of these zingers on his facebook account. It hurts me to see him think this stuff is funny.
  7. Samardo Samuels, Manny Harris, and Alonzo Gee played 19, 29, and 20 minutes last night. This is depressing. The Indians are absolutely terrible, the Cavs are by far the worst team in the NBA, and the Browns are still at least a few years away (and with a new coach). Colt McCoy is the best thing about Cleveland professional sports right now.
  8. Pittsburgh fans are seriously the most annoying fans in sports. Coming from NE Ohio and having to deal with Steelers' fans is unbearable. Plus, I think Rex Ryan and the Jets are pretty hilarious. That said, I'm thinking the Steelers will win.
  9. From an unbias point of view, what the holy hell was Carroll doing kicking that field goal and punting? Hoping to make the game look decent? Mission accomplished, you still lost.
  10. Enjoy him now. In 15-20 years, he'll be Austin Carr.
  11. I'm a bit disappointed about Mangini, but if it gets Cleveland Gruden or Holmgren, I'll quickly get over it.
  12. :( To be honest, it's surprising he has held on this long. He's had serious health problems on and off for as long as I can remember.
  13. I really hope nothing too dumb happens. People just forgot about the beer bottle Browns game. #-o
  14. Yeah, Wisconsin's offensive line was amazing. Kudos. And, Pryor just really isn't all that good.
  15. A guy in my league is seriously considering my Brandon Lloyd and Peyton Hillis for Adrian Peterson and Ocho Cinco trade proposal. Man, that would be fantastic. Talk about selling high.
  16. I'm starting to lean towards Orton, because I'm a pretty big sucker for QB/WR combos. And, the Browns really aren't all that bad. They're 1-4, but are only -19 net points, and have faced teams with a combined 16-7 record. Plus, they aren't nearly as bad on the defensive side of the ball as they have been in recent years. That said, I'd still start big ben.
  17. A couple of spots open for debate: QB: Kyle Orton vs. NYJ Matt Schaub vs. KC I keep starting Schaub, because I'm ready for him to break out (and Orton was playing the Ravens last week), and this seems like another no-brainer, but I keep getting burned. WR: I think, just based off of their production so far, I have to start Brandon Lloyd and Malcom Floyd. As for my number 3 WR: I really don't want to go against Greg Jennings. I really don't. But, he's killing me. Other options are Mike Williams (vs NO) and Brandon Tate (vs Bal). RB: Definitely starting Bradshaw vs. Det. Other RB: Ryan Matthews @ StL Peyton Hillis @ Pit Ryan Torain vs. IND Currently have Matthews starting, because it looks like he's finally healthy.
  18. lol - so because you have never hurt yourself while drunk, you don't think it's possible for someone else to do so? That can't really be your argument, but that's pretty much what you just said. Well I realize its still possible, but it seems to happen a lot for a small pool of people. Maybe it doesn't actually happen as much as it seems to, I don't know. And while I did just reference myself, that also goes out to all the very drunken people I spent time with as well. I think I can only remember one person breaking a bone because they fell while they were drunk. Seems to happen to several athletes from various sports every year. I'm guessing that if you or anyone you know/knew hurting themselves made national headlines, it would be a bit more memorable.
  19. Pumped to see my Browns finally finish a game this week. They've played well in every game so far this season, but just haven't been able to finish (3 losses by a combined 12 points). Good win versus the Bengals. They are better than their record suggests, but I don't see that getting much prettier. Week 5: vs. ATL Week 6: @ PIT Week 7: @ NO Week 8: BYE Week 9: vs. New England Week 10: vs. NYJ Kind of depressing to look at. But, then I remember: http://images.townnews.com/morningjournal.com/content/articles/2010/08/23/sports/doc4c71dcd2762f9657288373.jpg
  20. Absolutely. No way would I start Hester. I think you're riding the Hester hype from last week. As for me: Need two out of these three: Malcom Floyd vs. ARI (5.46 projected) Mark Clayton vs. SEA (9.77 projected) Steve Smith @ NO (7.42 projected) Right now I'm starting Floyd and Clayton, although I have doubts about any/all lineups.
  21. Until I finally read this thread, I've thought this entire time that his team was up by 11 or whatever runs. Not down by that many. I don't see how anyone could think that he was doing something stupid, besides maybe the Nats' manager.
  22. Man. I don't know the exact definition of the rule, but that was brutal. Also, I don't know how anyone could say that he clearly didn't have possession through the ground. That was a bad call, be it because of a bad rule or not.
  23. He'll almost certainly still get something completely ridiculous like 4/55-60.
  24. Thanks. I assumed I was over-thinking it.
  25. Everyone seems to be pumping up Malcom Floyd. I'm pretty confident he'll have a decent week too, but there is a problem. Or, maybe not, who knows. I already have Ryan Matthews and Antonio Gates starting. Is it dumb to start three players from the same team, knowing it probably decreases your chances of all three having a good game? I need 3 WRs. Should I put Malcom in, or just leave him on the bench? Three current starters: Greg Jennings @ PHI Michael Crabtree @ SEA Pierre Garcon @ HOU (Malcom plays Monday night @ KC) Thanks for any help/insight.
