  1. Deng needs more rest. Going to have to throw in the rookie more often Thibs.....
  2. Titans deny Bears request to interview their QB coach. I hate the Bears
  3. If Rip doesn't do anything, what are the odds the Bulls make a move? At this point, I'd probably move Noah for a team that is willing. I think a run-of-the-mill C like Kurt Thomas again (though I know he is not available), along with Asik would honestly be enough if they got another 2 Guard. Maybe like Jason Richardson and Big Baby Davis for Noah and a draft pick or something, once Orlando trades Dwight Howard. No Big Baby please. Maybe move him to Golden State for Monta Ellis or another trade that provides a CLEAR upgrade. Dwight Howard should want to be in Chicago, but hes more focused on being an actor then a basketball player.
  4. All the have to do is just follow the trendy names and hire one of them. Anybody but Ruskell...
  5. Martz's system is designed to get guys like Forte the type of season he had under Martz, which was better than anything he did without Martz and will probably be better than he does in a different system from Martz. I hate it because everything about Mike Tice screams dumb jock. I hate it because it's almost certainly a short-term bandaid that will simply delay Cutler's development. I hate it because it increases the chances that the Bears end up wasting their opportunity to win with a franchise quarterback, perhaps pushing him out the door. This. The entire organization at this point is a total joke. I just cant wait to see what stupid hire they make at GM.
  6. Interesting read, though I know very little about the Broncos organization during that time.
  7. The problem is, what strong well known offensive mind is going to want to come to Chicago with the organization seemingly in chaos. Lovie is essentially the GM and the coach as it has come to light that he's influenced draft selections in the past and now gets to have a say in the interviewing process for a GM. If anything, the Bears have bungled the firing of a GM.
  8. I'm not crazy about Fisher, but at this point I'm desperate for any change in the Bears organization. Does anyone really think that a new GM will keep Lovie around for long? While I view Lovie as a good coach, I think hes horrible on gameday and won't ever completely get away from the tampa 2 defense. I dont want to see that defense with an old LB core. So while Fisher is similar to Lovie in terms of career records, I think he'll be able to bring a much needed change in terms of philosophy.
  9. Yes please.
  10. then call me ignorant because cutler throwing was the key the whole time and remains the key. Without cutler they can't do anything, regardless of forte or no forte Yuuuuuuuuuuuup. Thank you for the contribution!
  11. Well if Lovie is truly going to stick around for another year with a different OC, then I am unhappy even with the firing of Angelo because it forces Cutler and the offense to learn a new system while offering the prospect of having them learn ANOTHER system in 1-2 years. This organization is horrible.
  12. I'm on board with keeping Lovie in place HAD Martz stayed. But having to replace yet another OC while keeping Lovie for only one more year is stupid. No decent GM is going to want to take the job with the expectation for them to keep Lovie in place for 2+ seasons. This team needs a long-term OC for Cutler to prosper and it would be absolutely stupid to have a OC stopgap for one year. The time to clean house is now with the GM and OC gone.
  13. YES!!!! best way to start the new year as far as sports goes for me. Angelo miserably failed in having a 2nd QB and a competent O-line for many years. Those were obviously the most glaring errors in recent years.
  14. please lose this one. lets hit rock bottom for a better pick!
  15. Trade has been completed. Marshall for Wood + prospects per ESPN 1000
  16. Gotta love how he sidesteps everything thrown at him and manages to find a way to point his finger at something else instead of taking any blame or responsibility for his piss poor management.
  17. Boozer playing stupid in the 4th.
  18. Not just you, it was that way for me too. Seems to be fixed now.
  19. Please continue to tank for draft position and a possible Angelo step down
  20. That's just idiotic. He slipped on the crappy Soldier Field turf. Blame the park district if you're going to be ridiculous about it. Not that I'm excusing some of Knox's dumb plays, but to blame him for the way the season turned out is just way off base. Knox trips in domes, he trips on natural grass and he just plain sucks as a #2 WR as does Hester. Hes a situational receiver in my mind as a #3 or #4.
  21. First time posting in the fantasy forum here. Randall Cobb or Michael Crabtree @ WR? Is Cobb expected to see a huge dose of action?
  22. Is Green Bay expected to give KC a heavy does of Cobb?
  23. Do you Packer fans know if Cobb is going to be used heavily this week?
  24. 2nd time in 18 months that Bill Simmons has written a "[fill in superstar] should go to Chicago if he wants to win" column about a guy who's clearly not coming to Chicago. I feel like there's some dark secret about the Bulls that explains why no one wants to play here that we'll learn later or something. I'm starting to think there really is something to the "playing in Jordan's shadow" thing. I think it's simple. Melo wanted to play in NY, Lebron and Bosh wanted to play with Wade, Dirk wanted to stay in Dallas, and Dwight wants to be the star of his team. Yeah, Kobe is in LA now but he's clearly on the downside of his career. Deron is a stud PG, but there's no doubt that would be Dwights team and city if he went there. I think Dwight doesn't want to compete with Rose to be the star, even though clearly he's a better player. I also heard something about Addidas wanting Dwight and Rose in different cities/markets. Not sure of there's any truth to that and if there is, how it even impacts Dwights decision, but it's interesting nonetheless. This. Lebron and Dwight are similar in that their basketball decisions are directly related to outside business ventures and hollywood deals. That alone should make every fan of basketball want to root against them.
  25. VJ is a must have for this team so you can draft other positions of need. This team sorely needs a true #1 WR. First round I think DE/OL would be a good start. Eh, I like Vincent Jackson and all, but I'd rather not pay that much money to a WR who's going to be the oldest starter on the offense (other than Garza). Granted, he's only going to be 3 months older than Cutler but a 29 year old WR is completely different from a 29-year old QB. This draft is loaded with WR talent. Cutler has shown he can win with crap WRs. That doesn't mean I want to stick with crap, just that I don't see the need to pay $25Mil guaranteed (basically what Santonio Holmes got) to a WR entering his post prime years. I'd rather spend money on a younger player. My FA philosophy is don't spend on players over 28 unless they are a proven franchise QB (never happens), a high caliber offensive lineman (because they can play well into their 30s), or truly one of the top 5 in the game at a game-changing position of need (ala Peppers). While WR is a huge position of need, I don't think VJack is quite at the talent level I would be willing to risk that type of money on. Besides, with the way this season has ended, the Bears are going to be back in Michael Floyd territory in the draft order. He reminds me of a shorter, slightly slower version of VJack. If not him, there's a ton of WR talent in this draft. The last pick Angelo spent on a WR within the first 3 rounds was Iglesias if i'm not mistaken. At this point I'd rather we bring in VJ or some other proven player AND draft a young WR. Watching Knox slipping down the field makes me want to scream.
