  1. I love the Pats front office and coaching staff.
  2. Olsen is not a downfield threat. Hasn't averaged 11 ypc yet in a season. But yeah, this seems like a dumbass idea. He sure looked like one in the Seattle game. One deep reception makes somebody a downfield threat? I guess my point, is that Olsen is a difference maker at the TE position and has shown improved blocking. He's a piece that can help any offense, especially one as poor as ours. Why the Bears would want to shop him makes absolutely no sense, especially if you have nobody behind him worth anything.

  4. This is such a failass franchise it's beyond belief. The Chicago Bears are in the same league as the Cubs. Nearly every player the Bears were looking at, have been picked up by a different team and NOW they're shopping their best down field threat?
  5. At this point I'm not too optimistic that the Bears will even address WR in free agency. Colon is not a very good football player @ RG
  6. Super skinny chick with big fake boobs = ehhh. He could do better IMO
  7. I'll take one of Edwards, Holmes or Sims-Walker please.
  8. Can we seriously say that the Hawks got better after the flurry of moves? I dont know....
  9. I'm not going to sit here and compare Rose to other elite NBA superstars. He's a point guard and there really hasn't been a PG quite like him in recent history. So far he's proven that he has a below average jump shot and a very poor three shot and he wilted in this series. So yes I am a tad bit concerned and I'm especially interested to see if he can improve. He "wilted?" He was stopped by a very good defense because he's the only play-maker on the team. Yes, he did go against great defense in some cases but he also missed many open shots and turned the ball over inexplicably in many other instances. All in all he didn't resemble the MVP he was in the regular season. "In some cases?" They played the same team for the entire series. And how does one turn the ball over "inexplicably?" Was he just handing it to them? What I'm saying is at moments the defense was obviously a factor in causing him to shoot poorly and turn the ball over, but he also blew many open looks and turned the ball over at times where it was crucial and good decision making could have prevented it. Look I think he absolutely sucked the entire series and maybe couldn't have willed the offense to a series victory, but I think if he hits some of the open looks he had we could be looking at 3-2 series in Chicago's favor. I'm not absolving how horrible his teammates were offensively. I cant help but wonder what OJ Mayo could have done for this team.

  12. Nah, his psyche is probably damaged. Let's check with cubbyvirus. Nuts&Gum, you really don't have to be a hater because I happen to have a different opinion then you. DRose missing a crucial FT for the 2nd time in his young career when it mattered most might just not be a coincidence, who knows. The sad reality is the defense first philosophy is great in the regular season and against inferior teams. But you also have to have a fine balance with scoring and the Bulls do not have that. They must sacrifice some defense to get a strong 2 guard, or perhaps trade young talent and depth for Howard. I'm tired of watching my teams I.E the Bears and now the Bulls have "great defense" only to fold and eek by important games. I want to see some offensive prowess and flare.
  13. So that's the threshold for "psyche-damaging?" Not sure what you're getting at, but Rose has immense pressure in his hometown and this will be a long offseason for the young guy. And yes, the Bulls can be players for Howard if they choose to be. You'd have to part with Noah and either Gibson or Asik plus draft picks.
  14. miami will be favorites, but i actually like dallas. assuming they beat okc, they'd have beaten 3 very good teams. miami has faced philly, a broken down celtics team, and the bulls where rose played like westbrook. dallas will be a much better team than anything miami has faced so far. :beg: Dallas has seasoned vets, a deep bench and a frontcourt that will dominate the Heat badly. Bosh will not be able to contain Dirk, nor can he have his way with Chandler. LBJ and Dirk will be a wash, so Wade will have to play big every night for the Heat to have a chance imo.
  15. Cant remember. Did he look THIS bad? http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/n/nowitdi01/gamelog/2007/ 2/6 games he looked to have bad games. So far Drose is 3/4.
  16. Really? Really. Can you remember another MVP year where the winner has had a worse playoff series loss? Didn't Dirk lose in the first round to an 8 seed? Cant remember. Did he look THIS bad?
  17. Really? Really. Can you remember another MVP year where the winner has had a worse playoff series loss?
  18. The most disappointing thing about this series is the fact that Rose has managed to make his MVP season look horrible. He cant sink a shot outside of a dunk/layup. I just hope this wont damage his psyche.
  19. I think it would be easier and more feasible to land Howard while retaining your defensive approach, then it would be to sign a worthy SG who could create, shoot and defend. An OJ Mayo type of player is not going to push this team over the edge.
  20. rose is a young elite player; of course he can play at this level for another year. as for defense, it's thibodeau's calling card and the bulls have good defensive players, so why is that going to drop off? I think that's an optimistic way of thinking, but I'm trying to be realistic here. Nobody expected this season from Chicago and I cant understand why people think I'm crazy that they revert back to being an average team.
  21. Wouldn't that same hard cap restrict the Bulls with Boozer, Noah, Deng, and a future big payday for Rose? Not if you can package Noah+Deng for Howard. The Bulls must pull off a trade of some sort because this formula is whack. the bulls just came one shot (or one good last-second play) from being tied in the series and holding home court advantage. why is this team such a disaster and needs to be reassembled? just get a pretty good shooting guard. Because I dont think an OJ Mayo can make an impactful difference on a team that overachieved all season long. We're banking on Rose playing at a MVP level with maintaining the best defense in the league to happen a 2nd time?
  22. You really have no idea what you're talking about. You want to "gut the team" and think they need another "stud." No, they need a capable #2 guard. You won't find a #2 guard that can have an impact remotely close to what Howard can bring. I also think you won't be able to find a #2 guard worth trading for.

  24. Sadly we might have to watch this happen 5 more times over the next 5 years unless the Bulls can go out and get a stud player to put alongside Rose. I'm sick of being a fan of Chicago teams that pray defense will help them score more points then the other team only to watch the defense collapse while the offense cant put any points on the board.
  25. This. Hopefully all the morons that crowned Rose as being able to sniff MJ's shorts can shut up. Rose has been horrible all series long. Maybe he can learn to hit a jumper before learning to hit 3's.
