You are acting like other teams were like "Oh crap, Albert Haynesworth? Why didn't I think of acquiring him! Dammit Patriots, you are just too smart for us." It's so damn shrewd of the Pats to take a chance on an overpaid headcase who chooses when to display his admittedly good talent. I agree, I'm sure there were teams that thought it was a bad move. But actually it was a brilliant move. The Pats had what, 6 picks in the first 3 rounds to work with in this years draft? It was a great move. 1)Because the Pats have the best coach in football that every player in the NFL respects and he has the ability to pick up scraps off the garbage heap and work with those players to turn them back into difference makers. 2)They have nothing to lose and everything to gain in two former top players at their positions, especially due to the amount of talent they added thru the draft. You can call me a spaz all you want, but I'm pissed off because this team has set Cutler up to fail for going on 3 seasons now. We can't give this guy offensive tools to work with or a semi-decent oline to work behind? I'm pissed off because I'm tired of the analysts, fans, naysayers and even my own friends chide Cutler on the daily. I think the guys a great QB but he has suffered due to Angelo's mental midget moves and drafts. We made the playoffs yes, but our defense is quickly aging, the kickoff rules have changed and I dont have faith that they're going to be able to carry the Bears as much as they have in years past.
