    Mel Kiper's been reading my [expletive]. I have said basically the same on this and other message boards on the web, other than mentioning Baldwin by name, because I don't like him. I agree with this. I think absolutely the Bears go with DT in the first round to complement Peppers and then they go O-line. 2012 they will worry about a Kreutz replacement along with a CB.

    Knox was awful yesterday. And we were playing without Earl Bennett who is (sadly) arguably our best WR. Is there any doubt that we must draft a WR in the first two rounds?

    This game is the best proof that our WR's are garbage. Knox is a great slot WR. That's about it.

    Yeah. And depending on what happens with Tommie, this could be a nice deal for a D-line guy that could see significant playing time. Definitely. Harris will be out imo. I think within the first 3 picks, the Bears go defense with either a DT or a CB. I wouldn't be surprised if they went both in the first 3 picks, depending on what they do in free agency. However, if they don't go CB in the first or 2nd, I wouldn't bother picking one at all. The Bears have a ton of mid-round CBs on their roster. DB is the one area where they don't have elite talent on defense. A potential elite CB would do wonders for a good defense that still has room to be better. I'm intrigued with the possibilities of what they can do in the draft and free agency. With Peppers being such a prize FA, you have to wonder if ownership is going to buy into the free agent process 100%. Is it too early to create a Bears offseason thread?

    He'd be back for the Giants game, so it wouldn't be throwing away the entire season. Even with Rodgers, we'd have very little chance of winning this game on Sunday. It makes sense to just hold him out and have him come back at 100% for the Giants and Bears. Hopefully scoreboard watching goes our way this weekend, although it hasn't at any point this year and I doubt it's going to start now. I might be crazy for suggesting this but I think the Packers have a fighting chance with Rodgers playing the NE game. The Pats have an amazing offense, but the Packers D has been playing really well lately I believe. If there's a defense that can slow them down, it's GB's. And offensively, assuming the conditions are much better than the other night, I would think Rodgers would be able to exploit that Pats passing D that is said to be so weak. I think it would be something like a 30-24 game in favor of the Pats, but one that could go either way. I 100% agree with this. Rodgers would shred that secondary and the defensive struggle would obviously be interesting to watch.

    Man it's so hard for me to think that Kerry Collins is a worse option then Mcnabb is. Collins has way more offensive weapons and Britt is now back full time. The Texas are going to HAVE to key in on Chris Johnson after the stats he posted last week, daring Collins to beat them downfield against their dead last secondary defense......

    Do you guys really think though that GB would throw in the towel on an entire season hinging off of an injury that Rodgers COULD come back and play with? I just find it so hard to believe that the Packers would go out like that.

    Rodgers is out, do i start Mcnabb @ Dallas or Collins @ Houston? Also should i bench Forte this week and go with Stewart @ Arizona?

    It's still up in the air at this point. We lose, though, with or without Rodgers. If he sits, we lose by at least 3 touchdowns. It'll be a bloodbath. Drats. Who to start, Mcnabb@ Dallas or Kerry Collins @ Houston...

    No not really. Yes because giving up 5-8 yards consistently to good teams is a good idea. Cover 2 is reliance on luck when you cannot get a consistent pressure from your front four. Everyone knew coming into this game that Welker and Woodhead would be getting a ton of yards on the underneath crap.

    The Bears Cover 2 is such a horrible scheme, I can't believe it's held up thus far, but going against a better team its easy pickins.

    We can't be surprised, Jay Cutler has no offensive weapons to work with besides Olsen, along with a bad offensive line. I don't know if you can even count Matt Forte as a "weapon."

    Nice gameplan Bears. You run 3 straight times on the opening drive, and you can't stop anybody on defense. This is pathetic already.
