  1. Sure it would. We still have one player who can create his own offense. They still have the best perimeter defender in the game. They can still have LeBron play him one on one and have a big leave Noah to back him up on the block. It's the perfect Derrick-stopping defense and he has no one to pass out of it to. Hahaha it wouldn't be an upset? Are you kidding me? All of the media and NBA world are picking the Heat to come out of the East. They have 3 All-Star players, one of which is the best player in the world. They have a surrounding cast that is decent enough to role play in the playoffs and play top notch defense. The one weakness they have is something we're unable to exploit completely.
  2. I've seen Wright, Hill for WR, nearly every first round DE, OT Martin and CB Gilmore/Kirkpatrick being mocked to the Bears. It's going to be interesting what they do with that pick.
  3. Hub is saving face. Since the trade news broke, he's been bagging on Marshall and hating on him personally.
  4. I don't understand how people expect Rose to go from barely running and practicing to playing at a MVP level in a few weeks. Shooting 45%? I think the Bulls will win 1 or 2 games, but they'll be downed by the Heat assuming both make it to the ECF.
  5. That is the one thing that swings the percentages...from 0% to something? Ask yourself how last years team fared. Then ask yourself what has changed from last seasons team to this seasons team. When you answer the question, you then form a logical opinion.
  6. For the record, which line of thought do you subscribe to? The Bulls have a great chance of beating the Heat? Or the Bulls have a slim chance of beating the Heat? I've said they have no chance of beating the Heat in a 7 game series as currently constructed. At the very least, you have to respect that I've made my pick and I'll stand by it. No, because to say right now they have absolutely no chance to beat another team in a 7 game series is absurd. It's bold yes, but it's something that I believe. Now answer my question 8-) No, it's ABSURD. Maybe it's a matter of semantics that you're not understanding, but saying the Bulls have absolutely no chance (as in a 0% probability) of beating the Heat in a 7 game series is just wrong. You have to rephrase that. Without RIP...they have no chance. With a healthy Rip, I think they can do it. But you have to have a solid 2 guard, playing defense on Wade and making Wade respect his offensive game. That to me is the one thing that can swing the percentages.

  8. I'm nervous about Wright. Does he have an "elite" skill set? What would he bring that Hester and Knox do not?

  10. As long as it's not Jonathan Martin I'm good. Without a franchise LT falling, we gotta go WR/DE/CB. If Mark Barron falls, I'd scoop him up.
  11. Right. His declaration was that they were doomed because they didn't have a fallback plan to make them as good as a Bulls team with Rose if Rose went down. His theory also hinged on them not being able to score and not being "athletic." It was meatball-ery at its worst. Nobody is here is saying the Bulls are a perfect team, aren't flawed, and couldn't be better. People are taking issue with his usual histrionics. I mean, at least there's some truth in advertising in that ridiculous sig he has. Yikes, your pompous arrogance is quite nauseating. A ridiculous sig? What an outrage! SOMEBODY CALL THE COPS. Meatball-ery? How corny. The Bulls have a flawed roster to do battle with the Heat and Thunder. The John Lucas game was fun, but the odds are that won't happen again. If I'm not mistaken, my original thought was even WITH Rose they're completely doomed. With Rip they stand a fighting chance, although at this point Rip looks to be a shell of his former self. (I just read an article of how he felt pain after head faking on his first possession.) So you're free to cling to your big hopes that the result this year will change with the same formula employed last year, the same thing expecting different results (Definition of insanity.) While I stick to my opinion that something needs to change for a different result (Finals appearance). Last year the team was on a roll and Rose was the MVP. This year, not so much. So I guess you can argue that there is a difference between this years team, and last years team. This years team is worse.
  12. What? No. And yes, we're calling you crazy, because you post like a furious lunatic. You're the cynosure of the Bulls and Bears threads. You have 31k total posts. You're equally the "furious lunatic" I am. So you think that we have a chance without Rose and Rip against the Heat? Do you own a John Lucas jersey or what?
  13. That you think the Bulls can't score without Rose and that you actually think saying they lack "athleticism" like that's a thing is pretty ridiculous. That you think everyone is going to be saying you were right is even more ridiculous. The Bulls completely rely on their stiff defense to beat teams. They are not a high scoring team with a number of "go to" options. They have ONE option in Rose that you can rely on. Unless you want to count Boozer backing down a longer athletic player and promptly getting swatted. It's universally known that the Bulls aren't the most athletic of teams when you compare them against the other high seeded teams in the Thunder and Heat. It's an advantage those two teams in particular hold over Chicago at the moment. So here we are, acknowledging that we have to pray for Rose and Rip to be completely healthy for the Bulls to even have a fighting chance against the Heat and you're acting like I'm crazy for thinking that they're going to be destroyed this year.
  14. Awesome. It's going to be "Awesome" when you guys rage after the Heat off the Bulls in the playoffs and you start saying the same things I'm saying now. I'm pretty sure at this point that you want the Bulls/Bears to lose horrifically so that your ridiculous negativity is by pure chance proven correct. I mean seriously the Heat are getting blown out 3 times in the past 10 games with their full roster and that's the team the Bulls can't beat? What in the world are you talking about? Take your head out of the clouds. The Heat will bring it come playoff time. The regular season means very little to a team full of seasoned vets, Bosh and two MVP candidates. Meanwhile our team is banged up, has very little to no scoring ability aside from Rose and we're limping to the finish line. How is any of what I said "ridiculous"? And any criticism I have of the Bears is due to the fact that they've neglected both lines in Free Agency. Again not a stretch or a far-fetched criticism.
  15. The Mavs had a great offense and a great defensive. You also had a scoring 6th man in Terry. The Bulls have a great defense with one above average scorer in D-Rose. We're missing a 6th man and a reliable #2 option.

  17. Sorry the Bulls don't have enough to beat the Heat or the Thunder in a 7 game series. Their only chance of beating the Heat is Lebron wetting the bed. They badly lack athleticism and scoring. The quicker fans and management can come to grips with accepting that reality, the better off the team will be.

  19. Any chance the former 2nd round pick can work decently as a receiver?
  20. Not understanding what the Bears are doing in regards to their O-line/D-line this offseason.
  21. At this point a 2nd sounds great imo. I'd even do a 2nd and a 4th. Where do I sign? Forte has alot of mileage on him and he's coming off his best year. How much better can he be? Sell high.
  22. I'm with you. He was trying to hit it big by denying the first offer and his greed got in the way. Hes not going to get CJ money.
  23. Do you think the Bears will attempt to trade Forte?
  24. I like it. Judging FA, the Bears really want to turn this offense into a high powered offense.
  25. Boy, would sure be nice to have Mark Andersen on our team. I wonder why the Bears didn't want to revisit him as an option.
