I completely agree with you. I debate Laker fans daily because they buy into the media bias. Kobe has been downright awful the entire season in terms of FG% and with the attempts. Almost nobody has mentioned how much more efficient their offense would be if he limited his shot attempts and ran the offense through other players specifically Gasol and Bynum. What people forget too is that if a big man doesn't get his touches, hes likely to regress and fade into the background so when he's needed in the final 2 minutes he won't be able to be relied upon.

Wow, injuries have really derailed the playoffs being such a fun stretch to watch. I'd like to see teams at full strength compete rather then all the injuries. Regardless it was pretty funny that right after the Kobe Bryant debate, he lays a stinker of a game and a chokejob at the end. Did anyone else see the blurb of how his overall % in the final 2 minutes of playoff games is below the league average?

You don't wear five rings if you're overrated. Yeah, Shaq and his triple teams and Horry have nothing to do with it. Maybe too if you actually researched how Kobe is quite the opposite of "clutch" when it comes to playoff game winners then you too would agree that he is vastly overrated. He's got little to no hardware worthy of being a legendary player aside from the fact that he's got 5 rings that are a clear TEAM accomplishment. Here I'll save you time for the last 6 misses. He missed one two games ago and then you add in another 5.

The only real threat in the EC is the Heat and in the west OKC. Those two teams as it stands now are easily ahead of Chicago. In the next two years we'll be seeing the major drop off or retirement of KG, Pierce, Allen, Kobe, Duncan etc. This league now effectively belongs to LBJ, KD and Rose as the future.

Yes, they're just playing around with Denver and intentionally blew Game 5. Come on, give Denver some credit. The Lakers only finished three games ahead of Denver this year so it's not like this is a huge mismatch. Also, I bet Kobe plays. They should be killing Denver. Kobe ballhogged Game 5 and Gasol/Bynum barely got any touches. Maybe Denver's record was good this year, but as a playoff team they should have lost in 5. Now the series drags on and even if Kobe does play, I'm thinking Denver wins Game 6. Emotion, home court advantage and the physical drain that was Game 5 will do in the Lakers.

Kobe likely to miss Game 6. I don't know why the Lakers are playing around with Denver for 6-7 games, but its going to wear them down.

This would be great and all, but didn't we get stories like this last year? Or maybe it was the year before. John Clayton compared him to Steve Smith "only faster" in training camp 2007. Comedy gold. I love Steve Smith and wish we would have jumped on him a few years ago.

I've been saying it for awhile. The only players I'd keep on this roster are rose, rip, noah and gibson. Everyone else is expendable.

The Bears need to sign McNeil. It makes sense and it would offer depth and potentially an above average LT barring any injuries.
