  1. Yes they have bad contracts. And I was on a mobile device Banedon, so 'MVP of the trade targets' translates to "our most valuable trade asset." Oh and if the Bulls match Asik's offer, I will officially blow a gasket. Noah signed a 5 year 60 million dollar contract. He is one of the better Centers in the league and making an affordable 12 million dollars a year. He is absolutely not overpaid and would be a valuable trade asset. Strange, because he's forced to sit in the 4th quarter of important games. That leaves Boozer and Noah offensive black holes, with much of our cap space sunk into those two. No matter how you cut it, this team isn't good enough to win the title.
  2. So you just want movement for the sake of something new. Can't resign Gibson with the contracts currently on the books if you wanted to. Oh and he's also the MVP of our trade targets because Deng and Noah have horrible contracts. Bottom line, Paxton falls in love with his 'core' to the detriment of this franchise. You mean the same core that had the best record in the NBA the last two years? Kings of the regular season! That means something right?!

  5. So Asik and Hinrich are the players we decide to throw money at and exceed the cap? Everyone's making moves around the league and in Chicago our big dilemma is if we're going to match Asiks offer sheet. Smh True we should have signed Deron Williams with our invisible cap space. When was the last time the Bulls have gone over the cap? Obviously the goal of this team is to now reshuffle the deck instead of sign vomit to guarantee us a first round knockout and a shitty draft pick. I want to see movement, not a standstill 'keep the core together' mentality.
  6. We could have had him two years ago for an Asik trade to Houston.
  7. OK I'll rephrase it so it's quite easy to understand. Everyone that cares to improve their rosters and playoff chances are re-working or at least in trade talks to make some changes. It's incredibly frustrating to hear about this stupid Omer Asik [expletive] when the guy is averaging 3 points a game and is only known for his defense in 10 minutes a game. It's disappointing to eat the vomit that is Kirk Hinrich.

  9. Agreed. On the interview I mentioned, it was said that with MJ and Scottie [expletive] talking Krause and Bulls management, it paints Chicago in a negative light that could have a long lasting impression of the organization. Reinsdorf remains and it could be a valid argument that the Bulls have sucked ass in nearly every department post MJ prior to Roses arrival. The scouting and drafting being giant buckets of fail.
  10. Not that I'm a big fan of the move but who would you have plugged in at PG instead with Rose out? I would have cleared cap space and transition to being sellers because this team has proved to be very afraid of the luxury tax and we clearly are waiting for Mirotic. Download the 07/05 interview on the Score with Aschburner. Free agents to this point have showed very little desire to come to Chicago. This team is going nowhere.
  11. Even with a healthy rose, the heat have it again. Somebody in the east needs to build a playoff winner.
  12. Incompetent and conservative. Yes.
  13. Looking forward to seeing what the cubs could really get for him
  14. Garpax have been awful for years too
  15. A) I'm assuming the Bulls cant afford him B) Strangely enough SG is like the 3-4th most important thing to worry about this offseason after backup PG, probably replacing Omer and replacing Korver our only outside shooter. Because Reinsdorf is cheap and doesn't want to hit the tax.
  16. +1. The worst thing that happens is you get Deng and Noah's salary off the books plus you obtain something for Howard IF he wants to leave. Even more space for the 2014 FA class. Howard does have an affinity for Rose, I think if he's traded for and is shown love in Chicago then he'll want to stay.
  17. I'd like to see them jump into the Howard sweepstakes. If the Nets get Deron Williams, they won't have room for Dwight unless they gut their entire roster which leaves them with D League fodder on the bench. This is obviously contingent on ORL accepting the deal. The Nets are apprehensive about doing that, so that would leave Dwight in the cold with no teams on his "list." The Bulls can jump into the fold and offer an attractive package while perhaps recruiting Derrick to help make a pitch for them. I think this is very doable, but from what I gather management and Derrick are unwilling to employ the necessary strategy to get him. They seem to think like they can win as is. but you seem mad as to what they did or didn't do last offseason, as well. what move did they fail to make there? I think Rip was a great addition. I wasn't too upset about the last offseason as I think that the Bulls definitely deserved a second go with the team as constructed. Reminder: this is before Lebron went HAM and decided to play like a MVP in the playoffs. I would have liked Butler to get more minutes though. Dwight's feelings will change if he is locked out of the Nets situation. The one team he really wanted to go to might have moved on without him. I would love to see an all in strategy with him and an attempt to convince him that this is the spot he wants to go, if he wants to win. He can be had because there are 4-5 other teams right NOW trying to trade for him.

  19. Look, I want the Bulls to win like any of my other teams. I am not satisfied nor confident with the Bulls management sitting pat and not willing to jump into the crossfire of trades going down. I think they have the pieces to get a major acquisition but they seem set on their current roster with the hope of their Bobcat draft pick and the European guy turning into great players. The other problem is by that time we hope Derrick can continue to play at the same high level despite these toll of injuries, otherwise they will have wasted his best years.
  20. I'll be checking these threads with regularity during the season to anxiously read your "e-gasms" when John Lucas III drops 18 for a Bulls victory!
  21. Liar. With a ridiculous attitude like this, where being the GD #1 seed is considered losing, there is no way you would be happy about just making it to the finals. So if the Bulls make the 7th or 8th seed this year and are swept out of the first round, is it a successful winning season? We aren't talking about mythical scenarios you're making up. We're talking about two seasons of the best record in the league that you say are "losing". They're not...either technically or by any sane objective measure. At this point it doesn't look mythical. The Bulls team approach to defense and decided rebounding advantages are what made them make it far in 2010. Derrick Rose wasn't the sole reason they had the #1 seed as proved last season with him sitting out and the Bulls still winning games in the regular season. If we had a solid #2 go to player on the offensive side of the ball this team can seriously compete for a title. If not, then they'll continue to "win" in the regular season.
  22. They key phrase is "better team." It was doubted by the most professional of opinions that the Bulls could even beat the heat in an ECF scenario. The Bulls success last year was hinging on Rip and Rose being able to stay healthy because they were hurt many times during the season. They weren't a clear favorite, so sitting here and blaming everything due to Rose being hurt is silly. Even if he wasn't hurt you're assuming he'll come in after said injuries and play at MVP caliber. As we saw, the Heat were a better team their second time around and the jury was out on the Bulls being better then the previous year. The Heat went to 7 games in the ECF against the freaking Celtics and nearly lost. Nobody knows what would've happened if the Bulls had been healthy. Neither you or "the most professional of opinions", whatever that means. Yes lets ignore Bosh's injury. The Heat took a major injury to a weak spot on their team and won the ECF despite the adversity. They didn't even use a true center.

Having an All Star point guard did dick for them 2 years ago in the ECF because he was their only offensive option.
