  1. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/bears/14599303-606/lovie-smith-is-phil-emerys-guy.html You believe that article and think Emery wants Lovie for the long term? Isn't Lovies deal up after 2013?
  2. How is what I said overreacting? New GM and longtime head coach. The GM has a 1 year mandate to keep Lovie. If Lovies team underwhelms at all during this season, Emery will make a move. He needs a reason to get his own hire in there.

  4. Yeah the reality is that we're posting on message boards and he's had a long-time career on many levels of baseball, but in you go ahead and keep believing that you're smarter than he is and he's just been lucky all of his life. At least I understand that this message board is for entertainment purposes. It's a shame that you really believe that the fact that you post every 30 seconds somehow makes you smarter than the rest of the world. Don't forget that he's also quite the comedian.
  5. HERBIE Hancock. Big surprise. Nuts&Gum trolling for a lol.
  6. Just watched the Giants game. If the Bears play like this at all during the season Lovie will be gone.
  7. Sucks that we get nothing out of our 3rd round pick this year. The Bears have had some horrible draft luck these last 5 years
  8. Ok I'm backing away from the edge......
  9. Bears looking at signing S Charlie Peprah
  10. Too late for that. Aside from the 2nd round pick and despite how early it still is, all indications are that this was an Angeloish type draft from Emery. We should have either done more free agent damage or drafted anyone but Shea at that slot. All he preached was how he wanted to draft immediate impact players and his picks were the opposite of immediate impact. Even a rookie WR needs more time then other positions to develop. i'm ok with the draft. i like jeffery and rodriguez a lot, i think hardin is a specimen. i'm not sold on mcclellin yet. I love Jeffrey don't get me wrong. But rodriguez is a smallish TE (project), Hardin never played Safety in his life (project) and Shea is undersized, lacking strength and experience at DE (project).

  12. I guess the one bright spot is that we allowed 0 sacks to the first string Dline of the giants
  13. Should have gone with Chandler Jones. Did Shea look THAT bad? Any positives? No nothing. His speed rush is awful. He gets taken wide waaay out of the play. He is just engulfed by offensive lineman most of the time. His bull rush is useless. He's just not strong enough. Wow. The only way I can understand that pick is if we're switching to a 3-4 defense.

  15. Cool, so oline and Dline look bad. Arguably our two worst units. :banghead: It's epic fail at the fact that we cannot get another DE to complement one of the pass rushers in the last 10 years
  16. How's our Dline and Carimi look? Shea?
  17. I too cannot see the game due to the chargers and Vikings. Please give us updates! :D
  18. Yeah, it's a bit much. However, it could be a back breaking blow to our defense and potentially be a problem all year. People seem to be freaking out
  19. Philbin won't last. I hate the fact how he's trying to run a airtight strictass Belichek program with a young inexperienced team. He's gotta loosen up a little...
  20. How many games do you have them winning this year? I have them winning 10-11 games without devastating injuries and a decent defense. Big boy offense makes me giddy, but this is the first time in a long time there was legit worry on the defensive side of the ball. That's pretty healthy optimism. I don't understand your position, then :) 10-11 wins puts us where we need to be in 2012/2013, IMO. A decent shot in the post season. The defense is what mainly worries me. Our oline is just as bad as last year with the potential of Carimi making it slightly better. Of course that prediction is based on a healthy Urlacher. So we can potentially start the season without our best safety and most important linebacker.
  21. Oh dont worry, Justin Tuck and Osi can provide plenty of beatings without JPP.

  23. http://i.imgur.com/wdA2Z.gif Hahaha that's great
  24. My Optimism is waning on this season. Between our oline, Dline, linebacker and safety issues, it's simply too many question marks. It's going to be interesting how we are versus the run
  25. All my hope is that extensive offseason work with a hitting coach can help him.
