  1. Liar. With a ridiculous attitude like this, where being the GD #1 seed is considered losing, there is no way you would be happy about just making it to the finals. So if the Bulls make the 7th or 8th seed this year and are swept out of the first round, is it a successful winning season?
  2. They key phrase is "better team." It was doubted by the most professional of opinions that the Bulls could even beat the heat in an ECF scenario. The Bulls success last year was hinging on Rip and Rose being able to stay healthy because they were hurt many times during the season. They weren't a clear favorite, so sitting here and blaming everything due to Rose being hurt is silly. Even if he wasn't hurt you're assuming he'll come in after said injuries and play at MVP caliber. As we saw, the Heat were a better team their second time around and the jury was out on the Bulls being better then the previous year.
  3. Not unless they make an honest effort to revamp their lineup. Nobody knows when Derrick will come back and supposedly Deng all of a sudden doesn't need surgery. So who knows how he will bounce back from last year. 12-13 is a lost year and if they're going to concede that, I'd rather tank it then sign garbage like Fisher. Maybe even try to get some young players to develop.
  4. This post makes less than zero sense. The Bulls haven't won in over a decade and the Cubs aren't going to win anytime soon. It's not that hard to figure out. Perhaps Nuts definition of winning is making it the playoffs and miserably failing, or coming close every single game yet still losing the series? My definition of winning is making it to the Finals and ultimately winning. Hell I'd be happy about just making it TO the Finals. The Bulls have stood pat last off season and they look to be standing pat this off-season for the most part. That is unacceptable.
  5. Ok yeah the bulls have been winning. My bad. Meet me in the cubs forum where I'll post about how the cubs are winning too.
  6. Wait until 2014. they better be laying that foundation NOW. The Heat crap started a few years before it happened. If we're going to try, we better have a ringleader out there recruiting. Too bad Rose is a damn mute. Rose needs to assist in the wooing of free agents. Maybe 2-3 more years of losing will speed up that thought process? Anyways barring a trade, I'm throwing dirt on the 2013 bulls.
  7. Word is the nets will be able to get their own big three if Williams chooses to sign there. Johnson, Howard and Williams. Meanwhile we're going to get Derek fisher and trot out another underwhelming team...
  8. I'm on board with this scenario. You have to give Dwight a chance to experience a big city like Chicago and the chance to play alongside Rose. Worst case scenario is we have a ton of cap space for free agents and we can tailor a team to Derrick's style.
  9. Who cares. Without a chance to sign Howard, this team is sunk in the short term and won't sniff a title until Derrick can woo over a big time #2 to aid in leading this team to a title. Asik isn't the problem. We need offensive firepower.
  10. Which is why I'm completely fine with trading for Dwight Howard, even if he were to leave after next season. The worst case scenario is that you're left with Derrick Rose and a whole bunch of cap room for 2013. This Bulls team is incomplete and likely incapable of winning the ECF as it's currently constructed. I wouldn't mind gutting the team for Howard hoping that he'd strike an extension. If not, then we'll have room to rebuild a roster focused on the Heat's weaknesses. If they get Ray Allen, they'll have Lebron run point PF most of the time.
  11. Uhhhhh Listen to the Waddle and Silvy interview. Speculation is that why on Earth would Rose go to Andrews in the first place if everything has been successful? It does raise red flags.
  12. According to Wilbon and his sources, the recovery for Rose is not going well. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/id/8074004/chicago-bulls-derrick-rose-getting-knee-examined-dr-james-andrews
  13. 3 stars vs. 2. Not really. Horrible defense, no offensive execution and it's basically 2 vs 5 because nobody outside Durant and Westbrook can hit a shot. Okc has killed themselves
  14. lol stupid Angelo Enderle was because of Martz though. I mean, Angelo made the pick, but Martz was the big advocate. Yeah I understand that, however Angelo shouldn't have taken a QB based on Martz and his recommendations. If anything, I think Lovie should have the input not the OC. At the time, Enderle was a head scratcher.
  15. lol stupid Angelo
  16. I'm not sold on Deng playing at a high offensive level 2-3 years down the line. This team desperately needs an offensive player alongside Derrick.
  17. No mention here of Carimi's first full OTA practice? Hooray.
  18. I'd prefer that he master sacking the QB instead of dabbling around on offense.
  19. This upcoming year is a lost season either way you cut it. I'd almost rather Derrick just sit out and be 100% then to rush back early and log heavy playoff minutes.
  20. Per the Tribune, Bears promoted and added additional scouts overhauling their entire scouting department.
  21. Soldier Field is an awesome stadium and looks just fine on TV. Sure we don't have the largest TV in the world inside the place, but I'd say it is better then most stadiums. You want a shitty stadium? Go to Qualcomm in San Diego.
  22. I'd love to trade Forte for draft picks, but that ship has sailed. Bears still win. Get an unhappy Forte, but also a Forte that will be playing for his next contract with another team and get 7.5 Million dollars to play with next year. I'm not well verse on the supplemental pick process, but if he walks we get a pick right?
  23. Agreed. I'd feel completely fine with letting Forte go and using a late pick on a good route running RB and go the way of Sproles and the Saints RB offense.
