    Man, I agree with you. If we had those plus got Milton Bradley for the outfield, I would be very content with this offseason.

    I agree with you. I may be in the minority, but I really think a Furcal-Pierre one two combination would be great for this team. If I had my choice, I would get Furcal and then trade for Luis Castillo. It's unfortunate that the Twins had the idea of Castillo first.

    Well, at least the whole Furcal situation will hopefully be over soon. I really hope that we get him. I really don't know why people would be happy if we don't get him, especially with reports that Neifi Perez could be a starter if the Cubs don't land him.

    Wow, big increase by the Angels. I wonder how high the Sox are willing to go. It's not gonna be that high, and I cannot see Konerko signing with the Sox for $10 mil less. Oh well, we will see what happens in time.

    In order to assure Neifi isn't starting, I'd be willing to overpay a little bit. 5/50 is doable for someone who isn't injury prone, but is consistant like he is. I agree. I want Furcal because I believe he can add to the team; I also want him because, as someone said earlier, the thought of the alternatives just makes me quiver.

    Mizzou screwed itself once again. I can't really say I'm surprised that this is happening though.

    So has the Score once again just made up a deal or is this something that could go down. From the way it was being reported yesterday, they made it sound like a done deal.

    I wish there was some way we could get the Marlins to throw in Luis Castillo. Personally, that is who I would be trading for in the first place.

    Can we please swoop up and get Castillo? Or would that be making too big of a splash this offseason for Hendry.

    I just heard on ESPN radio the Oregon could now be in the Fiesta and OSU will get left out. So many different stories :x When is the BCS selection show? Dec. 4th BTW, another argument for a Big 10 title game: Ther have been split or co-champs 6 of the past 10 years How many of those Co-Champs met head to head? That is what I really just don't get. I think a few years ago UM and Iowa split but they did not play. This years co-champ thing just does not make sense. There's always a lot of talk about Mizzou going to the Big 10. I don't think any of it is ever serious, but as a Mizzou student, although we would get pounded, the exposure would beat the hell out of the current TV deal that the Big 12 has. Then would the Big 12 lose their championship game? What other teams could fit in the Big 10? Thats why Mizzou would never leave the Big 12, because it would cut a lot of ties to the Big 12 schools theyve had for years and years. I still think Notre Dame would be the best for the Big 10, but I don't see that happening either.

    I was watching Around the Horn one day, and L.A. writer Bill Plaschke said that if Oregon or UCLA were in the SEC, both teams would easily win the conference. I thought there's no way in hell. What does everyone else think? I thought the guy was crazy for suggesting that, but maybe I'm wrong. Thoughts?

    Yeah, I agree. It is unfortunate that the Big East gets a bid, but those bowl matchups would probably be the most interesting, especially the first two.

    Just got back from the game. WOW. Bears defense is awesome, Orton looked a lot better today. And big props to the crowd, we were loud, rowdy, and just very excitable today. DAAAAAA BEARS!

    I hope soon that this offseason starts changing to where we are hearing moves we like. So far, these moves by Hendry have just made me sick.

    That is a team I will not be happy with nor will I spend money to see neifi perez leading a team that is not improved lineup wise.

    This is just another reliever who will come to Wrigley Field and then suddenly forget how to pitch. Not to mention 3 freakin years. God bless America Hendry. It seems like he doesn't have a clue sometimes.

    I didn't think anything could be more frustrating than last seasons disaster of an offseason, but Jim Hendry is quickly proving me wrong.

    Seeing as Hendry and Baker, but especially Hendry, are in the last year of their contracts you would think Hendry is going to do everything he can to bring in some proven talent, because if he doesn't and the Cubs stink, his stay in Chicago is all but over. It is do or die for Hendry. Agreed. Hendry can't afford to have another terrible offseason, because it will cost him his job. He better at least try to improve this team as best he can fort his year or he may be done.

    I wish something would go down. This is just annoying to have to wait with no clue what to look forward to for next years team.

    Well, I am not going to be attending the kU game and the Texas game. I really chose not to watch crap basketball. Quin Snyder is a terrible coach, but hey, no reason for Alden to fire him. :roll: Man, I really am sick of Mizzou sports.

    That's encouraging. 3-year splits Day: .341 .395 .438 .833 Night: .288 .338 .354 .692 Those are pretty drastic numbers. Geez, sign him up.
