  1. Insensitive or not, I got a good laugh out of this as well.
  2. I can't argue that logic. I think Ohio State should get consideration just because they won the league with the highest RPI and one of the two toughest conferences in CBB.
  3. I really don't know if Kansas deserves more than a 5 seed. Sure they're on fire now, but the Big 12 is just horrendous this year. Plus, I don't think they're non-conference schedule produced many good wins. That said, kU has had a great season. After Mizzou beat them, they could have packed it in. But they rebounded very well. Congrats
  4. What does everyone think Gonzaga should get? I think at best a 3 seed. I bet they get a two, but in my opinion, with that conference and the close games theyve played, I dont think they deserve it. I think if Ohio State and Illinois both win their quarterfinal games, they should both be two seeds, ahead of Gonzaga.
  5. He's a stud. Too bad he didn't pick Mizzou... No hard feelings though, I wouldn't go to Mizzou either if I was a 5 star recruit. Mizzou is such a mess. Still, he would have looked good in black and gold...
  6. Ya wanna switch and I'll cheer for Michigan and you can cheer for Mizzou?
  7. Good win for the Illini today. I think a first round win for Illinois and they should lock up a 2 seed in the tournament.
  8. Blast from the past: Illinois Arizona Elite Eight game is on ESPN Classic right now. That's still one of the best and my personal favorite college basketball game of all time. Just an unbelievable comeback. Unfortunately, I don't have ESPN Classic.
  9. Without Hughes, you are probably right. But with Hughes, I can see us playing as good as anyone. He makes such a difference. Defensively, offensively, etc. That we can both agree on. We learned this in the 2005 first-round playoff series. :( That we did. And as frustrating as this season has been, and it has been one of the most frustrating because of all the close losses, the future is very, very bright. With what's looing to be a top pick in the draft and some money to spend, I think next season the Bulls could jump into the top half of the East. I wish, though, they could just make hte playoffs this year, just for confidence if nothing else.
  10. Without Hughes, you are probably right. But with Hughes, I can see us playing as good as anyone. He makes such a difference. Defensively, offensively, etc. That we can both agree on.
  11. Without Larry Hughes, I see the Cavs as a first round knock out. I probably wrote that too soon after a very angering game, but I was just not impressed with the Cavs. Maybe that would change if they had Gooden and Hughes, but I really didn't see anything in the Cavs that made me say wow. Besides James, that is.
  12. Cavs are not good. I like LeBron James, but man oh man, he is not clutch. He does not have that killer instinct yet. I also hate the Mavs, by the way. Very arrogant fans for never having done anything.
  13. Why? Vitale blew that WAY out of proportion. I thought it was more of Mike Patrick. He has to be the worst announcer I've ever heard. Such a homer for Duke. Everything that Duke did was "a great move" or "unbelievable." By the end of that broadcast, I was hoping the fans who were jumping over Dick Vitale and Patrick would just kick Patrick in the back of the head. The way he just complained about that reminded me of Joe Buck on the Randy Moss situation.
  14. I couldn't agree more. UConn, in my opinioin, clearly has the most talent. If they play like theyre capable of playing, nobody can beat them.
  15. Does the U.S. play outside every of American soil? I don't see a problem with that if they're gonna be in Phoenix or somewhere in the west. Eventually though, I think the travel would wear on the players; I don't have a problem with that early in the WBC, though.
  16. I would prefer that the WBC took place after the season, instead of during spring training. However, even then, I would put pitch counts into place, but they probably wouldn't have to be as low as they are during the spring. Depending on when other countries' professional seasons end, perhaps have the WBC withing a couple weeks of the end of the World Series. Of course, then you run into issues with some pitchers in the WBC from MLB playoff teams, especially the World Series teams, throwing too many innings for the year (regular season, Division Series, Championship Series, World Series). Then again, the WBC is only every four years (although they're saying that it will only be three years between this one and the next). I don't know where I'm going with this. :? I agree. I'd prefer to play this after the season. Keep interest in baseball for another couple weeks after the season. This is going to be a hectic month of March. I can't wait!
  17. Dark Horse: UNC. If they win out (UVA and Duke) and then win the ACC Tourney (including beating Duke again), they'd have to be considered. That said, this scenario is very unlikely to happen. I still don't think that's enough to get UNC a number 1. I think a team like Texas or even Gonzaga (I hate Gonzaga by the way) would get considered before UNC would.
  18. God bless America Vernon Davis is a freak. I wonder what it would take for the Bears to move up early enough to take him. Probably not gonna happen, based on the fact that the Bears never move up, but geez. I bet he could make a immediate impact on the Bears offense.
  19. Good article. It's nice to see the attitudes that both Murton and Cedano have. With attitudes like that, it makes it very easy to cheer for both of them.
  20. Well, I'm glad that Gordon is still a Chicago Bull. Did anyone read Barry Rozner's article in the Herald today? Is he just trying to stir up some crap? What's that all about?
  21. Good luck with that. That's pretty ironic about the 2003 playoffs. I hope the Cubs can make it interesting into October this year.
  22. I really dont care much for soccer, until the World Cup begins, then I'll get up at 4 in the morning to watch the games if I have to. Hopefully we build on our strong showing at the last World Cup (I can't believe that was four years ago already).
  23. Agreed. Which is why I personally believe tight end is the way to go in the first round. If we can get any production out of the tight end, it would open up the field more for Moose, Berrian, Gage, and Bradley. Man I am excited about the thought of the Bears having an offense that can scare teams.
  24. I'm a little late, but thank God hes gonna be done. I can't stand that man. I really hope he does not get anywhere close to Hank Aaron.
  25. Can Gardner transfer? He'd have to be really really upset to choose the NBDL over the new coach. I've heard whispers of Gardner, Horton, and Brown all talking transfer/draft, if they leave, along with Young and McKinney graduating, we could have a new starting five next year. God Bless America. With the way this program is already going, if mass transfers occur, then Mizzou basketball will go even farther into the tubes then they already are. I just hope football season next year goes A LOT better than the crap we've gone through for basketball. By the way Tiger posters, you think Alden should be fired? With the way events have currently unfolded, I say yes.
