  1. Agreed. That crowd was so jacked up when he hit that. I thought for sure the game was going to the Cubs after that. I'll never forget Len Kasper saying that Wood's home run was the loudest crowd he's ever heard. Now excuse me while I go puke for a moment.
  2. I couldn't stop laughing when I read that. Man, Zambrano's the man.
  3. Thats what I thought as well. It also, in my opinion, turned out to be the best game of the tournament. It was a very well played game on George Mason's part, and I think UCONN played pretty good as well.
  4. Agreed 100%. There's just a lack of a great team this year.
  5. YESSSS!!! A CINDERELLA FOR ALL TIME!
  6. Six seconds GMU at the line up two.
  7. George Mason better get it in bounds and BETTER MAKE THE FREE THROWS. COME ON GMU!
  8. This game better be on ESPN classic, like tomorrow.
  9. In a tournament of unbelievable games, this could be the best of all.
  10. Alright, make your free throws Lewis!
  11. WOOOO! Man this is an unbelievable game.
  12. Im gonna puke if UConn wins this game. GO GMU!
  13. MY GOODNESS!!!! A little nylon!
  14. Oh man. This is a great game. I hope George Mason can miraculously win this game.
  15. Well, hopefully Alden is out. Mizzou really needs to get somebody in who bleeds black and gold.
  16. Hopefully Anderson can succeed. There's a lot of morons at Tigerboard right now who are really upset. I personally like the hire, and am hopefully that by senior year Mizzou can maybe make the tournament.
  17. I guess it depends on what side of the fence you sit on. I didn't see an Illinois win in that game, nor did I see an Illinois comeback. I saw an Arizona loss, and an Arizona collapse. It was still a great game, but I saw more of a collapse than I did a comeback. Illinois hit all their shots and made some big plays in the end. Not to give them credit for coming back and doing everything to get back in that game is fine but I disagree with you. Sure, Arizona missed some free throws, didn't attack the basketball, and was lazy on offense, but give Illinois credit for drilling three 3 pointers, getting three critical steals, and for making the comeback. That game better be on ESPN classic this week.
  18. I had that feeling last March. As did I, especially after that Zona game.
  19. What a set of games today. Hopefully tomorrow nights games can prove as entertaining.
  20. i was rooting against ucla just because raisin was such a jerk last year about rooting for anybody but illinois i hope the whole team shreds their knees before the next game They probably won't beat Memphis. Although they will have a huge homecourt advantage.
  21. I had a friend who always used to tell me that Bill Self could not win the big game. I realized that after he left Illinois. I think he coached maybe one team at Illinois that beat a top ranked team (Arizona in 2001 I believe). Every year in the tournament, they played someone better, and they always bowed out to them. Now at Kansas, I don't know if he's won any big games. In the elite eight, his team lost to talented Georgia Tech team. And of course, the last two years to mid-majors. I wouldn't trade Bruce Weber for Bill Self. Him leaving Illinois was a blessing in disguise for Illinois. And also, having a year like Illinois did last year is definitely going to bump up Illinois' recruiting in the next few years.
  22. I really haven't heard anything. Just more complaining on Tigerboard. I bet that Mizzou doesn't hire anyone until after the tournament (I could be totally wrong though). On a side note, I just can't understand how these kids, like OJ Mayo, would want to go to Manhattan, Kansas, even to follow Huggins. Even before I knew anything about KSU or MU, I still kinda knew that KSU was not in a bustling metropolis. Oh well, congradulations on getting Huggins, and if they can land Mayo and Walker, impressive job.
  23. Well, Missouri is technically less than two hours away from both Kansas City and St. Louis. That has to count for something. Iowa City's only 2.5 to 3 hours away from Chicago. So what's you're point? :P Well, I guess you're right. Kansas City and St. Louis are actually less than Chicago.
  24. Well, Missouri is technically less than two hours away from both Kansas City and St. Louis. That has to count for something.
  25. I don't think it's that much harder to build a success at KState. Remember, they had a very solid program for a while, including 4 or 5 final fours. The've been down for the last 15-20 years or so...ever since Kruger left. Yeah, it's ion the boons, but a lot of schools are. If they get Huggy, they'll be good again. I hope Mizzou passes on Alford. but with the state of that program, it might be hard to lure the best coaches there. Still, that should be a top 30 gig, IMO. It's the only high-major school in a state with two decent sized urban areas. Good acadmeically. New facilities. Decent college town. There's no reason they shouldn't have a strong program. They ought to fire Alden and let someone with a brain do the hiring. Agreed. If it's true that Sundvold wanted Self when Snyder was hired, then I take a lot more stock in his opinion than Aldens. A lot of people down here are really fed up with Alden. They have already been calling for his firing. I think if he whiffs on this new coach, he's gone.
