  1. Can he not go to a regular water park? Or is the line drawn at "mega" water parks? What about a pool? Is he allowed to take a bath?
  2. Oh my god that's awful.
  3. NED COLLETI???? Hahahaha. Yeah, this post isn't constructive. But, seriously, hahahahha. Colleti. hahah.
  4. What do they have to do with Memphis? There's just as many examples of schools losing high profile coaches and still maintaining elite levels. There a lot of examples of [expletive] conference schools losing high profile coaches and not missing a beat? The Self to Weber transition was pretty seamless--and then Weber started getting talent commensurate with the rest of the conference. Memphis isn't Illinois and C-USA isn't the Big Ten. I also think it's fair to say Pastner won't be Weber either.
  5. Oh, how I wish I had faith the actual Cubs organization was doing this sort of analysis.
  6. Must say with Adewale Ogunleye (IU) and Jay Cutler (from Southern Indiana -- have family in Santa Claus, IN and cousin who coached him in high school), I'll be casually pulling for the Bears this year. Good luck. (Of course, that being said, GO COLTS!)
  7. Wow, CuseCubFan.
  8. this was a great prediction, except that's his line when he's 33. I knew the contract was brutal, I knew Soriano was way overrated, I knew Soriano would be putrid near the end of the deal. I just never thought he'd be this bad at 33 in only the third year of the deal. It's worse than I expected.
  9. There's nothing wrong with it, I was just picking out everything I could. Gotcha. That was hitting a little too close to home; a white-t and jeans is standard casual fair for me.
  10. it's the V neck part of it that is douchy imo Is it actually a V-neck or is it a crew-neck with the collar stretched down from supporting the weight of the glasses? I couldn't really tell. If it's a V-neck, I'll grant you that may be douchy. I really don't think regular white t-shirts are douchy though.
  11. that guy's look epitomizes everything why i don't ever sit in the bleachers anymore: -plain, white t-shirt? check -cub hat, slightly cocked to the side? check -thinly groomed beard? check -oversized, white sunglasses hanging from t-shirt? check -white sweat bands on the forearm? check I really don't understand what's douchy or wrong with a plain white t-shirt. The rest, sure.
  12. That's amazing. Something you'd know if you thought about it, but never realized it. Also, perhaps I'm being dumb and forgetting something else I know, but which coach has a rival logo tattoo? Bielema. Has a Tigerhawk tattooed on his ankle from his days playing (then later coaching) at Iowa. Ah, that makes since. I didn't realize he had a tat though.

  14. I can pretty much assure everyone that IU -- and, for that matter, pretty much all the other big name teams "interested" in Ferguson according to Rivals/Scout/Ferguson('s handlers) -- had grown very lukewarm at best for various reasons. Upon hearing this information, I breathed a sigh of relief. That said, best of luck to an Indiana boy and a former Hoosier down at FIU.
  15. Too individual? This is baseball, what the heck does that even mean? They're all ball hogs?
  16. Seriously, is he brain-dead?
  17. In my extremely uneducated opinion, Ramirez was dehydrated and needed fluids. I'm not too worried there.
  18. Howry threws strikes. Easily hittable strikes, but strikes nonetheless. Heilman walks everybody, yet Lou hasn't lost confidence in him for some reason. It is rather anomalous. Lou seems to have a deep-seated aversion to walking people -- especially from relievers -- yet Heilman is evidently exempted. I wish Wuertz had been exempt. Don't we all.
  19. Dusty's not ready to conceed. Really though who would they sell? I guess Rhodes. Dusty's not used to being out of the playoff chase dude. He's always in the playoffs dude. Look at his career dude. They'll get back into it dude. Perhaps they need to trade for Pierre dude. More speed dude. Fish.
  20. I only got 14/20 :x Oh c'mon. Which ones did you miss man? Those were all really, really easy. consecutive no-hitters, perfect game in WS, Yankee hit in '78 among others. I'm aware of all of these things happening, I just don't retain the names attached to them I couldn't think of Vander Meer. Duh. 19/20. That was pretty easy though.
  21. To this day, that makes me want to strangle puppies.
  22. Huh, I think I like this trade. Grabow is fine, but could have ulterior benefits if it "frees" up Marshall to pitch more than just as a LOOGY. Gorzelanny is intriguing, easily moreso than Hart in my opinion.
  23. guh....come on. i'm in a good mood and you bring this. Vitters for Grabow? Name the last time Hendry traded a TOP prospect during the season? I mean someon of Vitters ability. Hate on Hendry if you want, but he does do trades very solid. Hendry has made some very good trades, but he's made more bad-to-awful ones. Not really.
  24. What's your definition of awful then if it's not a guy who can't crack a starting rotation? When I'm saying not awful, I'm kind of responding to the thought that the Cubs have to have somebody better than this in the minors. Obviously Hart is not a good MLB starting pitcher. For his role though, Hart is exactly what you expect, maybe even a little bit better. A guy who would be expected to give you a 6 or 7 ERA in that slot would be an awful minor league replacement (and there are several of those around the league). I don't really expect us to have somebody better because he was really our 8th option to start a game. (The original rotation + Wells + Gaudin then Hart). I just never want to have to see Hart pitch again Yeah, Hart seems about as good as you can expect. Comparatively, he's probably better than average for his rather low spot in rotation depth order.
