  1. Well, there's some evidence. Still can't believe some on here didn't think he was using. That said, I don't really care. He was outstanding for the Cubs.
  2. Uh Peyton still sucks in the playoffs. He just had one year where the defense went from crap to great. Well that's just unadulterated, ESPN-esque nonsense.
  3. Insult to injury. Sheesh.
  4. Ha, it's such a sad state of affairs that I didn't even mention them not having won a title. It's just an assumption. Edit: I guess that said, IU has won seven soccer championships in my lifetime, four of which I was old enough to watch/enjoy. Of course, seeing as a I don't know a single college soccer fan that doesn't root for IU, not much in the way of bragging rights is offered.
  5. Well that's just painful/cruel/knife in the back.
  6. Why does it seem every game against Italy results in red card(s) for the USMNT?
  7. Cubs-none (obviously) Blackhawks-none Pacers-none IU basketball-two (though I was a few weeks away from turning seven for the last one -- though I do recall watching it) Colts-one Excepting IU winning when I was almost one and almost seven, the Colts Super Bowl (sore subject for this board, I know, sorry) was my first championship as a fan. In fact, prior the Pacers 2000 NBA Finals appearance, I had not witnessed any of my teams even playing for a title. I've now seen the Pacers (2000), Hoosiers (2002) and, of course, Colts (2006/2007) in their respective league championships. Edit: Oh, and the original poster sucks.
  8. We have ridiculous depth at the holding mid, but he is immediately top choice, imo. See ya Mastro. I wish he could go to Confederations Cup. Maybe he will get some playing time in the Gold Cup. I'm just curious to watch him play some as I pretty much never watch the Bundesliga. He is nails. He is fast. He is strong. He is angry. He is aggressive. He is real, real good. He was voted the 4th best midfielder in the Bundesliga last year. Not center mid either. Mid in general. Behind Ribery, Ozil and Eduardo. A good comp would be Daniele De Rossi. Hard man who can get forward and distribute and attack. He is kind of a douche bag though according to his wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jermaine_Jones Wow, sounds great.* I don't remember the last time I've watched a Bundesliga game, nor the last time one was even available to watch on tv. So I have never really heard of him; but to be listed as the fourth-best mid behind those three is impressive. I've thought Mastro has given the USMNT some quality minutes in the past, but his time is clearly gone. *Sans homophobia, of course.
  9. frankly i think it would be awesome if orlando just decided to completely tank it so that the lakers don't get to celebrate their victory at home. i'd probably even watch that game if the magic promised to lose by at least 50. It'd be awesome if the Lakers win on Sunday so I don't have to deal with the rioting in Downtown on a work day. I'm definitely calling in sick the day of the parade. You don't want to see Adam Morrison celebrate? http://phoenix.fanster.com/suns/files/2009/02/crying.jpg Ha, the Bruin fan right on cue.
  10. I'll take it.
  11. Wow, that's a penalty. Sheesh.
  12. The top 100 is also a difficult standard as those players would not be equally distributed among 100 teams, or 50 or 25, etc. A few certain countries would have an inordinate amount.
  13. Ugh, what a disappointing lineup. Maybe I'm glad I didn't make it.
  14. I think very highly of Evans. Much higher than most, it seems (though obviously some of that is relative to this subpar draft class).
  15. his agent said that, not rubio his agent also said that about the bucks drafting yi, and they did anyway and he signed. and memphis has long been rumored to like thabeet more than rubio and even griffin Memphis is likely to take Thabeet. They want size and specifically size as a defensive presence. At point guard, they have Mike Conley who performed quite well down the stretch (likely exceeding my rather low expectations for him coming into the league). O.J. Mayo also could prospectively move to point guard. Their need for Rubio is not great, as he would be replacing one or two competent players (yes Marc Gasol is competent, but not a defensive presence). If Thabeet could provide defense and rebounding, he could offer greater improvements. The pick would make some sense, especially seeing as there are concerns about Rubio's transition, specifically defensively.
  16. Wow, what unlucky awful garbage. Guess I'll be watching mainly the hockey game tonight.
  17. This announcing would be infuriating if it wasn't so hilarious. "The Dodgers have a great on-base percentage. They also walk a lot." - Joe Morgan "The Dodgers are mostly a singles hitting team. They are second in the league in doubles." -Steve Phillips Sheesh. No duh, and what?
  18. I would not have believed it if I did not hear it myself. Wow. Just wow. I know it is Joe Morgan but wow. I heard it and hardly believe it.
  19. "I believe the Dodgers could play with Juan Pierre the rest of the season and not miss a beat." -Joe Morgan
  20. Oh, and LeBron's first title is an inevitability. Not this year, maybe not even next year. But it will come. Then another, then another, etc.
  21. Since when is 64.7% good? And he's only up about 5% from his season/career averages which is only 1 out of 20 so he hasn't really improved that much. Relax. In the last few Orlando victories he was nailing free throws, he seems to have the typical big man "if-I -concentrate-real-hard-I-can-make-em" free throw attitude. Its a damn shame everyone in the NBA isn't an automatic 80+% at free throws anyway I wasn't mad or anything, just asking a question. I wouldn't put too much stock in it. Even Shaq had a few good games in a row and he never really improved. In Shaq's last game at LSU he was perfect from the line. I believe he attempted at least 11 or 12 free throws in that game too. Reason I remember that is they were playing Indiana in the NCAA Sweet 16. IU won of course. \:D/ I believe it was 12 for 12 in route to 36 total points. It was a second round game, though, not Sweet Sixteen. Of course, Indiana won, on their way to the Final Four (and the eventual Ted Valentine personal vendetta game for which I'm still not over).
  22. Not to hijack the thread. However, I don't recall "everyone" -- or even close to that -- picking the Colts to win the Super Bowl other than 2005 (in which they did start 13-0).
