  1. I like how Billick created some hypothetical character who determined an onside might not be necessary to argue with.
  2. Is Billick really explaining why an onside is necessary?
  3. HAHAHAH that block was [expletive] sweet
  4. What the hell is uniformly bad have to do with anything? You dont' win games by having a few defensive stands. The defense has been bad. They'd made a handful of plays, but they've been terrible overall. The offense has been abysmal, but the defense was bad before the offense had a time to hurt them. Because having a good stretch of defensive play is better than having no good stretch of defensive play. This isn't rocket surgery. The defense has been pretty good this year, overall, btw. Just look at the stats. High in yardage allowed, high in yards per play allowed, at the top in takeaways, etc. Not great at stopping 3rd downs of course. That's a really dumb post. A couple good stretches doesn't mean you didn't have a bad day. Neither does a couple bad ones. Your posts on the Bears defense this year have been uniformly stupid, by the way. If you step back from the immediacy of the individual games, they've been one of the better units in the league.
  5. Why are we huddling up still?
  6. He was not that short. [expletive] line judge was duped by the Seattle DB placing the ball.
  7. Yes Billick, it does matter whether you stop the guy 10 yards short or an inch short as evidenced by us, once again, have ass field position.
  8. The Packers are losing, btw.

  10. I don't mind pitching it around, for the most part, but it'd be nice to throw out of formations where the threat of the run exists. It's too easy to sit in coverage or send some edge rushers against these weird ass alignments Martz has our running backs in.
  11. I don't see the point of some of these formations. Even when there's backs in the backfield it's obvious they're not going to receive a handoff.
  12. The defense is fine for the most part. It's hard to keep playing well when the offenses longest drive is like 6 plays, and then after that like 4 plays. No, the defense was giving up plays left and right from the start today. They aren't good. They are occasionally opportunistic, but not good. They gave up a TD on the first drive. That's allowed to happen. Next 3 drives were 4 plays 10 yards, 3 plays, -1 yards, 3 plays 8 yards. Then the Bears started going 3 and out on every play and the D tired. I'm not saying the D played great today, but they haven't been at all the problem. The defense has been weak from the start of today's game. There's no ifs ands or buts. It's been bad for 3 years, and it's bad right now. They were pretty bad at the start and then pretty good in the middle. To say they've been uniformly bad is just not true. That was a bad drive for them but I do put some merit in the argument that the offense sucked the life out of them.
  13. Afraid to get creamed.
  14. he got sacked because they tried to run it and every time they run it they get 0 yards, meaning the outside linebackers can just fly off the edge and destroy our qb because our tackles can't block 1 guy let alone 2. Cutler doesn't know how to change protections or something. Seems like a free release off an edge blitzer is something that needs to be picked up presnap.
  15. btw, is it just me or is our tailback always lined up too close to Cutler? The depth of the running back seems off.
  16. Whats the point of that on 3rd and 11 from midfield? I was talking about the 1st down play.
  17. Seemed like Jay could've tucked it sooner and gotten up field for some yardage.
  18. he gets results. The Broncos are 2-3. They're 2nd in passing yards, 4th in total offense, but only 15th in scoring. Like I said, he racks up yardage between the 20s but it doesn't result in a ton of points.
  19. Orton's a system QB. He racks up a ton of passing yards between the 20s.
  20. I don't even know who to blame for that one.
  21. Is Brian Billick 9 feet tall?
