  1. There are some unusual metaphors in that SI preview
  2. Weren't the interesting depth players they gave up pretty well proven to be at least decent though?
  3. LaceDarius Dunn suspended indefinitely after allegedly breaking the jaw of his girlfriend, LaCharlesla. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=5652481
  4. Saying running games isn't important is wrong for the most part. The myth is that you need to run to set up the pass, not that you don't need to be able to run well at all. Good offenses pass to set up the run, which the Bears tried to do at times, they just can't. Orton had one of the best running attacks in football last year. So did the Saints, Packers, Vikings, Cowboys and a bunch of other good offenses. Only Peyton has shown he can guide an elite offense without the aid of a solid rushing attack year after year.
  5. He's isn't McNabb good either.
  6. Oh I don't mind either way as long as he wasn't punching women, a cab driver, or someone in the organization (unless Pargo is still on the roster somehow). BTW, James Johnson is the new training camp fluff story of the week and he'll get some run with Booz being out.
  7. Or he's lying.
  8. If not Cutler it's going to be whomever between Collins/Hanie is healthy enough for a full week of practice.
  9. You're probably right. I just don't want to entertain the thought that Cutler had a bad concussion and we're looking at multiple Collins/Hanie starts.
  10. A QB going rogue on the play calling isn't unheard of. I don't think he was TRYING to play poorly...but you don't think there was something flat out weird about some of those strips after he'd been hammered the entire first half?
  11. Well I agree with all of that. But when you run a quick slant on a 3 step drop...and you don't throw it. I just don't know what's going on there. That's a 1 read play.
  12. I hate to go all Wilson on you guys but is there any possibility Cutler, despite being concussed, was acting like an ass to prove a point? I'm looking through some of the game, because I'm a masochist, but some of those plays where he held the ball SO damn long were just inexcusable. Even when Martz called a 3 step drop he never threw the ball on rhythm. That ball needs to be out as soon as your back foot hits on the 3rd step. Of course everyone had a bad game but there is plenty of game to go around here.
  13. The Colts only gave up 13 sacks all last year.
  14. It's time like these I wish we had some clown of a head coach who would go off on a hilarious rant in the post game press conference.
  15. What would be the funniest Chicago sports station to listen to right now?
  16. Notice the only guy we really throw the back shoulder fades and those type of throws where the receiver isn't streaking open is Olsen. It's because Knox and Hester have no size and why Devin A. could be important.
  17. I'd love to get a look at the coaches tape. Our QBs do hold the ball way too long, but I don't see where the safety valves are. Cutler doesn't want to throw to guys that don't look wide open when he's throwing to our midget receivers.
  18. Where did Edwin Williams come from btw? He came in when Lance Louis got hurt. It appears Angelo's solution to the oline is fliers like Louis, Williams, and Webb.
  19. I like how we have the immediate check down on 4th and 18 but on 3rd and 10 we call a 2 man deep route that takes forever to develop.
  20. Hanie was active the whole game? Should've given him a look sooner.
  21. If you were trying to design a loss to completely ruin the goodwill built up by a 3-0 start you couldn't do better than this.
  22. I mean did anyone expect Maynard's noodle bitch leg to actually help field position there?
  23. Chicken [expletive] call.
