  1. The Atlanta game from last year when he could've housed it but ran the risk of being blindsided in the open fielded and he made an unnecessary cut and got tackled. I don't remember any others but that one reallllllly stood out as a guy who was afraid of getting creamed.
  2. Because Hester is afraid to get hit. A guy who stands still watching the ball in the air come to him as 10 guys (minus the punter) are running toward him at full speed is afraid to get hit? Even if that is true, why does Hester being afraid to get hit mean Aromashodu doesn't play? Wasn't the issue with Aromashodu that he had some drops in the slot after taking a couple hits in the middle? You can't possibly believe Devin A. is being benched because of some drops in the first game. It's obvious he's not getting along with the coaches and that they don't care for his attitude.
  3. DONT FORGET OMER ASIK (and CJ Watson)
  4. i know it's cool to hate on simmons, but when it comes to basketball he knows what he's talking about, and he actually does get good info. hopefully the bulls stand pat, because that's way too much to give up for melo imo I'd seriously think about it. As much as I hate him, I wonder if Denver would throw in Chris Andersen for that package. Andersen is not an offensive threat or a great defender, but he is a good shot blocker, runs the floor, etc. I'd rather have Kenyon Martin or Nene, but the Bulls can't afford them. I'd even throw in James Johnson. Noah, Deng, Johnson, 2011 #1 pick, 2013 #1 pick. for Melo and Andersen. Rose Brewer Melo Boozer Gibson w/ Korver, Andersen, Kurt Thomas, and Bogans coming off the bench would be slightly better than the current roster to me. Don't forget Omer Asik!
  5. That's just lazy writing.
  6. It's nativist anti-Catholic rhetoric. Probably the Tea Party's fault to be honest.
  7. Isn't it sort of implied?
  8. This strikes me as a ranking that really doesn't mean much this early in the season. I bet there are several FO writers that wouldn't take almost half of the top 10 over many, many teams ranked below them if their lives depended on it.
  9. You mean the girl that made the whole thing up.
  10. The thread that broke my NSBB cherry for the most part.
  11. Ah yes, I do remember him being out early in the Dallas game but hadn't heard anything since.
  12. No one mentioned Chris Williams being out in the thread prior to kickoff and I don't read the Chicago papers so it's all your guys fault.
  13. Joe sounds like a real brainiac.
  14. Given that both subjects were addressed repeatedly and you regularly read and post in threads about the goings on with the Bears, I just don't understand those statements. I didn't recall reading anything about Chris Williams not playing prior to the game, just Devin A. and Harris. And if they mentioned it during the pregame or game I missed it because the crappy bar I was at didn't have the volume up enough.
  15. Hey cool it's jersey here to tell me I'm not a real fan again.
  16. he wasn't actually yelling. he called the dude over, put his arm around him and said something. my buddy came back white as a ghost mumbling something about getting punched repeatedly and killed. he did keep the packers fans in check, except for the guy with goatee and polo shirt tucked in who took the time out of his day to turn around and ask me if i've ever been to chicago because it's a "[expletive]-hole". So is your friend a [expletive]?
  17. I have no idea who Rod Wilson is.
  18. Forgot Mark Anderson when he was actually effective. Also what was up with Chris Williams not starting?
  19. Kreutz Garza Clark Davis Hester Harris Idonije? Adams? Urlacher Briggs Peanut D. Manning Harris Gould Maynard That's all I got.
  20. I want to hear more about the Bears fan who was yelling at a Packers fan in a bar in Wisconsin.
  21. baseball history goes back over 100 years and there are many races every year, especially with divisional play and wild card added in. plus those probabilities aren't really THAT unlikely - a team with a 98% chance to make the playoffs will blow it, on average, 1 in 50 times. how many times in baseball history has a team had a 98% chance of making the playoffs? probably happens every year. "Statistically, the 1995 Angels shouldn't have even happened once in MLB history" is a complete misunderstanding of probability theory. Shouldn't is a bad word choice but you would not expect a team with a 99.988% chance of making the playoffs to have ever missed the playoffs based on how many seasons there have been in baseball. There were only 2 races a year until 1969, 4 from 1969-1995, and 8 since 1995. The odds of hitting a 8300+ to 1 shot in that period is still pretty small. And then you factor in all the other collapses, I'm skeptical that the model holds up very well when you're talking about late season collapses. I'm guessing there are some psychological/panic factors that kick in once you're blowing the season and the model doesn't capture that very well.
  22. We need to get Cutler outside the pocket a bit more and get him some comfortable quick hitters or a good screen game going...too much backpedaling on deep drops last night leading to throws off his heels.
  23. So a Bears fan was yelling at a Packers fan to shut up at a bar in Wisconsin and got away with it?
  24. We better [expletive] paste Eli and his group of incompetent boobs next week. Also Devin A. and Harris...I don't know what is going on with you idiots but get it together because we need you.
