    Detroit's defensive line is pretty damn good I have to say. I thought the pass protection was pretty bad in the 2nd half but OK for the most part. I just didn't like not having any apparent check down options on the deeper drops for Cutler. Forte was great aside from the fumble.

    I've seen that call made before. Happened in last years opener between the Chargers and the Raiders IIRC.

    No it's not, it's football and that happens. The sad part is sabotaging a game with ignorance. It's very difficult to stop a QB sneak from getting a foot. Once you hand it off on first down and lose another foot you're behind the 8 ball (sorta).

    I know you're all outraged about the 4th down call. I am too. But not being able to get a foot on 4 plays is the really sad part.

    I don't mind airing it out by putting Cutler in a lot of 7 step drops is asking for trouble. THat's Martz for you.

    Brad Maynard's reputation as a great punter is largely unwarranted, IMO.

    The Lions have 96 yards of total offense. The defense has been fine. They got 60 of it (and a touchdown) coming off the Forte fumble.

    the team looks fine, it's just weird turnovers that are screwing us up. we're playing well. The d has been bad Not that bad. They lost their mojo after the Forte fumble a bit but they were pretty good otherwise.
