Sorry bout that. The good news is, that we are well on our way to being the next Notre Dame :). Despite my entire NSBB monkier being about being a UM Fan, I am a very fickle football fan that can't handle that the one team he is supposed to count on being good every year is a huge mess. I've always been a bigger UM Hoops fan anyways. Will always watch and follow football, but I became a Michigan fan more from guys like Traylor, Bullock, Ward, Taylor, Conlan, etc So you've got Charles Woodson making amazing plays, winning titles, and generally being dominant but what really drew you to Michigan were the middling basketball teams led by Tractor Traylor's fat ass?

My question is, if you claim him, and he doesn't play can you avoid paying his salary and can you still stop him from going to another team?

Moss has no say. Either sit out or play for the team that takes his claim. Right, but if he says I'm not playing for anyone but New England would a team really pay his salary just to block the Patriots? They wouldn't pay his salary if he chose not to play for them. Would they still control his rights?

I don't see any real reportage there. Sounds like a bunch of dumb reasoning (i.e. the Bears are happy with their top receivers, they don't want to bring in a troublemaker midseason, and other nonsense).

If Moss really wants to play for New England and they'll have him is there anything anyone can do? You can claim him, of course, but you can't make him play can you?

Yeah, that PI play was weird. They ended up scoring so no one talked about it (although Favre did end up getting slammed on that drive). But he flat gave up on that play when he could've caught it easily.

I think this is the current waiver order: Buffalo Dallas Carolina Denver San Francisco Cincinnati Cleveland Detroit Minnesota San Diego Arizona Jacksonville Oakland Washington St. Louis Miami Chicago Philadelphia Seattle Tennessee Green Bay New Orleans Indianapolis Houston Kansas City Pittsburgh Atlanta NY Jets Baltimore Tampa Bay NY Giants New England Who would claim him before us? I don't think any team without real playoff aspirations does it and I don't think any team with a young QB looking to build would take him either. San Diego and Miami maybe? He could be available for the Bears.

If we picked up Moss he'd definitely be the answer to a bunch of trivia questions. He'd be playing the Jets three times in one season with 3 different teams.
