  1. Vitters with a single, Brett, well, take a gurss.....
  2. Rolls over once more. Unsure if it would drop another spot. I guess it would?
  3. Baez with a single and a steal in his first at bat.
  4. Hell of an outing for Maholm in front of alot of scouts. That's a good thing.
  5. Kobe's villain status was revoked as soon as the Super Best Friends formed.
  6. I'm thinking WSR is pacing around his computer right now, about to rip his Cubs shirt off, to reveal he's been a Phillies fan all along. Maybe throwing a few Hogan-esque hand to ears, at us.
  7. If Redd will sign for the minimum, that's probably our target.
  8. Yeah, sorry Raisin. Little surprised he signed for that, kind of thought Nats would wind up losing picks for him, even if they said they weren't going to.
  9. Us an injury to Boozer, Deng, or Noah early in the season as a lottery team.
  10. Yeah, the Pirates took a guy they knew was going to be hard for them to get. That's their own doing. They WILL get a free supplemental 1st or 2nd rounder here in a few days with the lottery. That still DOES give them an advantage over major clubs, with the new draft format. Gives them a bigger creativity level, once that money is added to their draft pool. Bottom line though, is if the draft wouldn't have changed, Appel wouldn't have made it to them anyway. In the end, the extra 1st next year could be a blessing in the end, we just don't know yet.
  11. Soooooo, your defense of Amaro is he's got money he can spend, so he's not a bad GM?
  12. And they get a 2nd from Minnesota out of it. Oh well, better than nothing.
  13. well, becauae they're dumb, to be honest. But someone gave us a 1st that's going to wind up a lottery pick for Tyrus, so I don't think it's a totally ridiculous request.
  14. What do you guys think of Shelby Miller as the lead piece in a Garza deal? Too much to get him and Martinez, plus a decent guy or two eith them? Too risky, with Miller's struggles? Don't want to trade with Cards period? They may be set up as good as anyone for us to deal with.
  15. If its for Hinrich then you can use the MMLE on someone else. I know. But getting either of what I mentioned actually could contribute to something more meaningful than filling out your bench in a non championship season.
  16. I want a TPE or a future 1st.
  17. I'm basing it off of Kyle's comment st the bottom of the last page.
  18. Korver traded to Atlanta. May be part of S&T with Hinrich. For fucks sake, we better get something for him.
  19. for the life of me, I don't know why ANYONE wouldn't be.
  20. Callis said he thinks we're done. Not surprising. All in all, I loved our approach to the draft in year 1.
  21. SSR's quote from Mike to Charles Davis? Cool as [expletive].
  22. If Boras somehow could get the draft rules back to the way they were, we should all bow and pay homage. Because that wouldn't benefit anyone more than us.
  23. Obviously, there were people that didn't like him. Maybe with me growing up in North Carolina, I just never saw or heard of them. But I think the vast majority of the country were pro-Mike, at the very least.
  24. Holy hell, no. The world was in love with Jordan. '92 was before his "baseball vacation" and before all of the infidelity stuff was made public. The world was in love with the brand and appreciated the talent; most basketball fans that weren't Bulls fans couldn't stand the guy for a variety of reasons well before his "retirement," largely for his on the court attitude. Jordan was a notorious douchebag practically from day #1, and it was awesome. But during his run, most everyone WAS a Bulls fan.
