  1. Rademacher to Peoria, Balaguert to Boise, Cervenka to Daytona.
  2. Nothing's wrong with him, I just expect Castro to be better going forward. More projection left.
  3. If them sweeping us keeps them from selling, I'm all for it. Johnson and Sanchez on the market is going to make it that much harder to get solid returns on our guys.
  4. The Nats system is OK. But they don't rwally have the more midlevelish type arms I kind of suspect Dempster brings back. Meaning top 10 system guys. I'd take Alex Meyer straight up for him, it's a solid value. But I doubt Washington would do it. He's about the only arm they've got at this point.
  5. He also has never liked Castro. He compared Altuve to him not too long ago, making it sound as if there careers would parallel.
  6. Fangraphs is counting down the players with the most trade value in baseball. Castro just came in at 41. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.php/2012-trade-value-45-41/
  7. Levine said Texas is in strong on Garza, along with Detroit and the Dodgers. Was unsure about Yanks or Red Sox.
  8. I agree that Brett and Vitters are probably top 150. Candelario may wind up in there too, but I wouldn't be surprised if Szczur wasn't top 200 right now. Honestly, I'm not sure Lake is even top 300, but I figure Alcantara is. Torreyes and Vogelbach could wind up in that range too. Hopefully one of the pitchers we drafted gets in that range as well. At this point though, I'm iffy as to what we even do with Garza, looks like it's possible Shields, Sanchez, even Josh Johnson could hit the market. Plus, Bautista getting hurt yesterday may affect Toronto buying. While I agree that's the return on him if he's dealt, I'm wondering if he gets dealt now at all, because of what may wind up on the market, diluding what teams would give up, based on more options.
  9. I'm starting to question my assumption we'll definitely be a top 10 system after the deadline by BA. I actually doubt we've got a 4th guy in the top 100 right now.
  10. If they're looking at him as a bench guy, they're certainly not going to give us enough of a return to make it worthwhile. They're just not a good fit.
  11. They're skipping Greinke's spot in the rotation because he's really been struggling. He's given up 14 runs over his last 14 innings.
  12. I think he's listed a preferred group of teams Demp wants to be traded to as well, in order of preference. I can't remember completely, but think it was Dodgers, Tigers, Braves, Yankees, and White Sox. ould have the last 2 wrong.
  13. That's a good question for Ben Badler; I have no idea how to gauge his ability right now. The scouting reports read first round stuff but he's the age of a college senior with none of the experience (all he has is a half season in the DSL when he signed with the Yankees plus tons of working out while he was suspended). Ben's not really giving answers on that kind of stuff, at least not to me. I can't even get out of him if he's projected as a starter or reliever. Or what level it's likely he could start out at. And Ben answers most anything I send him.
  14. I fully expect us to sign Paniagua. But, I honestly think the PSD guys are spoiled and way too trusting in who brings inside info, rightfully so, in a way, because they have Marlin and ABTY bringing in info quite often. Even a guy named ABE evidently is actually friends with Dempster. But joeby? Sorry, he's never said anything that makes me think he's anything more than a guy with decent reasoning skills. Yes, he called some tough signs last year in the draft. After it was widely known we were going to spend big and even then, he was saying some of them were signed before they were. Maples and Dunston have both remarked on Twitter they didn't have a clue what they were doing until the final day, but he was saying they were signed long beforehand. Then, he called us signing Soler. Sorry, but that was rumored for so long anyone on earth could have saw that coming. And once again, he was saying it a long time ago, meanwhile we were sitting there knowing the Yanks, Braves, Dodgers and others were still trying to sign him up until the very end. Now, he calls Paniagua. I think it's pretty obvious that Ben Badler is the man when it comes to this stuff and when he says something, he's hinting bigtime. So he mentions we're after Paniagua, most people can assume we'll get him. It's how I am, and probably most people as well. But, the bottom line is this with joeby: Let him bring something that's not been talked about to the table, then maybe I'll believe. That's what Marlin and ABTY have done, ABE as well, with Dempster. But, as until then, this guy is just a good deductive reasoner, taking credit for stuff most people can already see coming.
  15. There's rumors we want Mayo, but I can't think the TPE we've got is nearly enough to get him, since it has be used by itself.
  16. Baez and Trey Martin both named Player of the Week.
  17. Anyone got a breakdown on what Rosario, Peralta, and Arias throw?
  18. Hard to find too much fault with this. Solid move. Address O-Line and D all over next year in the draft. Emery's done well so far.
  19. Obviously Cole and Taillon are excellent prospects. I wish like hell we had an arm like either of them in our system. But the odds that BOTH of them bypass McDonald is supetslim.
  20. I read an article this morning that made quite a bit of sense, talking about the ramifications of the new CBA. No teams want to be the guinea pigs and overpay, or receive too little. Everyone wants someone else to set the market and go from there. Certainly makes sense, I feel confident that if we make an early deal, we're not going to be accused of receiving too little.
  21. To me, it's probably what's kept him from already being traded to the Dodgers. They've came out and let it be known they'd rather take money on, than give up premium prospects. That said, they were letting the Astros pay Lee's contract.
