He said it most likely won't be a splash but there is money to spend. By the way, between the recap here and the one there, did you catch any other stuff that's important, that maybe was glossed over?

    Indians seem like a fringe contender, at best, doubt Soriani would waive the NTC to go there. In fact, I'm thinking it may have to be a perfect situation to see him waive it for anyone. He may just want to stay here for the duration.

    Odds are pretty small, but as of today..... Jake Long, Duane Brown, Ryan Clady, Sebastian Vollmer, and Jermon Bushrod are all FAs in 2013, with the oldest of them being Bushrod at 29. All are top 10 LTs in the league. Brown got 6-53.4, with 22.08 guaranteed today.

    I look at it as decent. Disappointing after his initial start. But he's young, so it's definitely still feasible to hope for a breakout from him.

    Not sure, but it would be a promotion anyway. Mooney's latest article says we were allowed one hire of a non supervisory person over a 3 year period and we used it on Matt Dorey, a national crosschecker.

    I don't see it. Isn't he the one with the ridiculous platoon split? I don't think it's THAT bad. .659 OPS against lefties. Certainly could be better, but I don't look at it as a dealbreaker.

    I really don't have an issue at all with that. Over the offseason, teams will be interested too and there's next to nothing available via FA. And honestly, if we don't receive something substantial in return, he can stay here, he's pretty solid.

    I disagree too. I think it's a very legit promotion and one he's looking forward to tackling. I think him and McLeod are really tight and it wasn't hard for him to transition with the new group, with a main guy backing him from the beginning.

    I'm sorry if you feel insulted, but your line of thinking on this topic is very weird. It's like a Fox News viewer pissed at the NY Times for reporting on a story that would reflect poorly on a republican. It's not the reporter's job to do what you expect him to do. I understand the analogy but I don't think it really fits here. I do understand that I'm asking a guy I can't stand to handle something in a way I would have myself and that's borderline contradictory admittedly. The bottom line for me is I hope we find ourselves rid of Sullivan fairly quickly and I honestly think this could be the beginning of the end for him, because he obviously didn't endear him to the FO, even if they did make the original mistake here.
