    I wonder how minutes will play out? In an ideal world, Noah, Pau, and Taj all get 30+. But that obviously isn't realistic. Short of injury allowing it anyway. Plus, do we think Mirotic is a rotation guy as a rookie? Or do we think they add a vet min guy and this is basically a red shirt year for him?

    Yeah, much easier to get pissed at now. This is very "THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME," but he looks like he's Soto's brother now and so when he sucks it just reminds me of Soto's downfall and I get doubly mad/sad. Damn, you go next level. Never tried connecting stuff like that.

    Yes, unless he's involved in a shocking S&T prior to Gasol becoming official. We fall under the cap, no MLE-other exceptions-GONE.

    We're not being listed as serious contenders for either.

    Just an idea on realgm, no rumor attached. But no, can't amnesty anyone you didn't give the contract to.

    The East has vastly improved, but there's not a standout team YET. If Love ends up in Cleveland, it likely will become one. But it may take the Miami route, of needing additional veterans before its truly a powerhouse. Add a wing to Gasol and the team is good enough to come out of the East, if healthy. Not the favorites, but not a longshot either. As always, it'll come down to health.

    There were ways to get both. Unless Melo was truly adamant Taj needed to be here.

    I actually kind of like the Joe Johnson idea on realgm. It's not like we should expect some big window of contention ourselves.

    I'm trying to look at this from Melo's viewpoint. Lebron just went to Cleveland, New York tried on Gasol and failed,(tried because Melo WANTED him), and he will have the ability to opt out after 2 years with us and get another max. There is basically no way New York has a [expletive] at beating Cleveland inside those 2 years, while we would conceivably have a decent shot anyway. If winning IS most important to him, the writing is on the wall. If LA La is in control, it's a different story, but it's very clear where Melo SHOULD go and I've always been a guy that didn't have hope for this.

    Saw a guy speculate its a S&T with Dunleavy and non guaranteeds. Which means Boozer can still be used for a wing. Melo or whoever else. I've always really liked Pau. The age is scary, but he's still really good, so I'm excited about this.

    Can't see how. They didn't move on to Bosh until they knew Melo and Lebron weren't options. My guess is they'll be competing with the Heat for Deng now.

    Pau just turned down 2/20 from the Lakers and evidently will make his decision soon. We can't sign him BEFORE Melo, right? Boozer amnesty/S&T has to happen to get Melo and only way to get Pau too is either the MLE if Melo came via S&T or with a Taj trade. Correct?
