    Goodell is loving this. It's taking at least some attention off him, at this point. He'll make a stern ruling on Peterson and his own [expletive] will eventually get pushed under the rug. And I seriously doubt Peterson suits up this week in the end. In fact, I think the only way he suits up ever again, is if he somehow gets acquitted.

    There's so much wrong with the NFL. The vast majority of players are underpaid considering what the owners are making. Unlike NBA and MLB, they play on non guaranteed contracts. The majority of players will never see a pension, as its a dirty secret that averagish guys can't find jobs once they're close to vesting. Concussions and other injuries galore that will affect quite a few over the rest of their lives. I'd feel worse about those things if..... The owners and league weren't letting so many things slide that allows guys who may not even be fit for normal society make a great deal of money. Cover ups of God only knows what.....No HGH testing until right now. And none of this [expletive] matters. Because teams play one game a week and its easy to follow because of that. And it allows fans a reason to invite a bunch of people over and get drunk. All this [expletive] will get swept under the rug and most will keep watching and playing fantasy and all this. The only way things change is if the government steps in and makes changes that make it a different game altogether.

    The more I read, the less confident Goodell is gone. I seriously doubt he'd just up and resign from a 44 mill a year job, which leaves the owners needing to oust him. And this group of owners? Starting to agree with others, just can't see them doing it. I think the only real hope is for some big sponsors to pull the plug.

    I think the only way we'd go hard after him is if we expect KB to stick at 3B and truly are planning on trading one of Castro, Javy, or Russell. Otherwise, with KB and Soler on the corners, I can't see us putting serious money into a guy that's going to be playing one of those positions as well.

    He needs to step down. It's a [expletive] shame TMZ is more legit than ESPN when it comes to reporting this. The NFL and ESPN are going to do their best to sweep this under the rug quickly. And unfortunately, they'll probably succeed. Question for Gooney: I'd ask that question in the exact opposite way? Why WOULDN'T the casino give the NFL that tape?
