Also saw today that the Cubs have a flexible pay schedule with Lester. Essentially each year isn't a set amount but they can defer payment some years and pay him more in current years subject to what the Cubs plan to do with the payroll that year. Supposedly it is pretty unconventional and Lester only agreed to it because of his relationship with Theo/Hoyer. This is awesome.

Billy's trading away half his roster-The package if Zimmermann/Harper brought up in the Lester thread makes me wonder if Reddick/Gray isn't realistic to be hoping for?
