Hahahhaha holy [expletive] Never heard of Lively before, but judging by his numbers would this be like us trading C.J. Edwards for Byrd? No, he's a decent prospect, but if we had him, he'd fall in behind Vogelbach.
Are you talking about Denorfia? And if so, you mean 2014 right? He had 4 WAR in 2013, which was way higher than anything he'd done previously. 2014 was an outlier going the other way too though.
They won't sell low on him. It'd shock me if he's dealt this offseason, but who knows what may have been said to him 3 weeks ago, when the first incident took place.
Javy isn't getting dealt. We won't trade him as anything less than the headline piece of a major deal. And no team will do it for the bust factor. They'd take less ceiling and a higher floor. Starlin and Russell both have a better shot at being moved over the next 2 seasons than Javy does.(No, I don't see Russell being dealt and would have said the same on Starlin 2 hours ago)

I'd much prefer one of the guys in next years class to Shields, assuming that's all we can afford. Next year's team is going to win 100 games on the back of 50 HRs by Bryant, 40 from Soler and 30 by Russell. This year's team needs the help more. Be that as it may, we'll be buying at the deadline and I'd much prefer that route to giving Shields 100+ mill at this point.
On the other hand, what's Zobrist going to cost? One year of him.....I'd think Tampa would find value in Valbuena, would Vogelbach and one of Johnson/Edwards, with LV, be enough?
