I really think we'll see Contreras get 1 of every 5 games to start. He'll get innings in other games and likely hit in all of them. But I figure he's here to learn framing, game calling, and get to know the pitchers. I think this is a "reward" type situation where his bat was SO GOOD, we'll bring him up for a bit. Then send him back down to implement daily what he learns while he's up. So he can be ready for September/October. The FO obviously values game calling and framing a ton and if he gets MORE time than what I've laid out, then it means he's likely further along than we've read about when it comes to those things, which is great. But, if its not the case, I don't see us disrupting the staffs routines or anything in any way whatsoever, when they've been THIS great. I love Contreras as a prospect, but I'll be surprised if he gets more than a game out of five for now. I think this is their way of showing him what he's got to work on, if he's got a chance to catch for us in the postseason this year. Worst case is he's our everyday guy next year. This is a win-win.
