  1. THIS was your post in the middle of Contreras exploding into our lives? Better than another horsefeathering Rusney Castillo post.
  2. I'll pass. Not trading Schwarber or Javy for a reliever.
  3. Castillo horsefeathering sucks.
  4. Time for us to kick the blind, three legged dog.
  5. The Rangers have a +41 RD. Theo farts in their general direction.
  6. Oh, he was laughing about the Lester signing, saying Quintana was much better and that it'd take years for our youngsters to acclimate to the majors. Even this season, he kept pushing how good the White Sox are and how they're flying under the radar as one of the two best teams in baseball.
  7. I nominate the Pirates for the Participation Trophy. They try their asses off. The little engine that almost could.
  8. Gato, are you at the game? If so, what does De lo Rios look like?
  9. what are these posts about Mine was referencing Castaway
  10. No!!!!!!! Willsoooooooon! I'm soooooorrryyyy!!!!!!
  11. He was heading to 3B and didn't expect the flip to 2B is how it looked to me.
  12. I want Szczur to come up and Babe point at him now.
  13. If he gets 200-250 AB's next year, puts up a solid slash line and looks relatively decent behind the plate, he'll get a starting gig the next year anyway.
  14. Hallelujah. God bless. And pass the horsefeathering Tylenol.
  15. I really think we'll see Contreras get 1 of every 5 games to start. He'll get innings in other games and likely hit in all of them. But I figure he's here to learn framing, game calling, and get to know the pitchers. I think this is a "reward" type situation where his bat was SO GOOD, we'll bring him up for a bit. Then send him back down to implement daily what he learns while he's up. So he can be ready for September/October. The FO obviously values game calling and framing a ton and if he gets MORE time than what I've laid out, then it means he's likely further along than we've read about when it comes to those things, which is great. But, if its not the case, I don't see us disrupting the staffs routines or anything in any way whatsoever, when they've been THIS great. I love Contreras as a prospect, but I'll be surprised if he gets more than a game out of five for now. I think this is their way of showing him what he's got to work on, if he's got a chance to catch for us in the postseason this year. Worst case is he's our everyday guy next year. This is a win-win.
  16. started Our prospects don't fail.
  17. Colby Lewis has a perfecto thru 7 against the A's.
  18. I doubt he's here for good honestly. My guess is they do want him working directly with Montero and Ross on framing and also getting to know the pitching staff. He'll get a start or so a week, likely pinch hit and stay in the games late. He's killing it SO HARD in AAA though, that I can see them saying they need to reward him. He gets some AB's, learns the staff, and gets valuable time in with elite framers/game callers. If he pushes the issue, he'll stay up and that's a great thing. If not, its preparing him for next year, when he takes over. Win-win.
  19. Candelario
  20. (In Sandler voice) And now for the complete beat down of major league baseball......
  21. Almora and Contreras. 2nd wave accomplished, Theo.
