  1. They followed you to Mexico. Their stunt doubles seem to not be great.
  2. Yeah, today didn't actually work out too badly all things considered. Patton is lousy and will be sent down since he threw 80 pitches, Peralta's career should basically be over, and Montero is our worst position player and he threw some pitches. Basically anybody in the bullpen who matters at all got the day off. Not bad for a game in which your starter can't even make it out of the second inning. I've really been pulling for Pena, but he's struggled quite a bit recently. 11 ER in his last 10.2 innings up until yesterday, where he threw 2 scoreless, at least.
  3. I'm frustrated. But not worried. I'll only get worried if Fowler, Lastella and Soler are all back and we are still playing like this. Right now the bottom of our lineup is filled with a talented Triple A lineup. What's Soler gonna do, give everyone killer back rubs so they relax and start kicking ass again? He smiles really well.
  4. My theory is Peralta's sweaty fat man BO befouled everyone's senses and we're a step slower.
  5. What do you do from the 5th on though?
  6. What else did Sharma say? Mention any other names of what we may be trying to trade away? Or who/what we're looking for? He said there are still teams out there that love Soler, and there are no untouchables in the minors. I think he also talked about Doolittle, but that was before he was put on the DL. It was nothing earth shattering, but the La Stella thing stuck out to me like he specifically had heard something. He's basically a PH for us moving forward. Javy took his at bats. He's a solid hitter, but he's not really a natural fit for this 25 man roster.
  7. Matusz most likely has a date in his contract he can opt out, if he's not in the majors by then.

  9. Yags' number includes that 5%. If Hatch is going back to college all they have to do is offer some % (I think it is 60%) and then they still get that slot money to spend right? No.
  10. Clark gets 450k. Slot was 321,800.
  11. You're definitely one of my favorite guys here- but you want to run the Bulls in a Hendry way. Basketball isn't baseball. True lol. But a Wade signing does little to move the needle now, due to likely injury and hurts the team for the vast majority of the deal. And the ninja edit beats me lol

  13. Who puts emphasis on a half years worth of numbers? The horsefeathering Braves, that's who. Again, I don't dislike Teheran. But he's not a guy I'd give up what amounts to more than a Shelby Miller package for. And thank God, neither will the FO. By the way, am I imagining things or didn't Gato dislike Teheran just last year?
  14. Back to Earth? He's 25 and 2015 is looking like the outlier in his career. I guess the reason to deal him would be his salary doubling next year before he becomes arbitration eligible. They didn't really have much incentive to trade Miller, and while they did get a nice haul for him I probably wouldn't hate giving up Soler, Happ, and a pitching prospect not named Cease for him and either a reliever (Vizcaino) or minor league arm. He's a 3ish WAR starter. By backing up, id suspect his year end ERA to be more inline with his FIP than it currently is .Hes not becoming arb eligible, hes under contract. Which is fine. I'm not against adding that caliber of arm. But considering their asking price is likely higher than what you're proposing(just for him, not even accounting for Vizcaino)......I'll pass.
  15. Thank God he's never done that before!
  16. Hill is definitely a guy to look into. horsefeathers Teheran. One, he'll come back to earth. Two, they want more than what they got for Miller and truly have no reason to deal him, if they don't get it. And I liked the idea of getting him last deadline. Way too high of a price now though.
  17. I vote to bring in Peralta. For the rest of the game.
  18. horsefeathering horsefeathers. There's no semblance of a plan. Unless finishing 6-10 in the East for the foreseeable future is what they're gunning for.
  19. Johnny Cueto remembers his dead horse with photos of his dead horse: https://t.co/BQCPz93pIQ
  20. Trying to read thru Badler's lines......I don't think we can sign the 2015 guys. He's saying teams over their pools THIS period and the teams still uncommitted(Mets/Marlins are lined up best for those 2. I'm insinuating here, but for him to bring it up like that, it appears teams already in the penalty, aren't eligible to grab them.
  21. the mets are probably even money to make the playoffs. Not after Thor and Matz' arms fall off.
  22. Sorry, but this ones a true horsefeathering embarrassment.
