  1. Just don't allow teams to huddle during an official review. If a team huddles, slap them with a technical. Problem solved. That idea doesn't stop coaches from calling plays from the sideline, though. I'd imagine that teams have X set plays set up -- they could signal one of them and have the guys on the court talk about it. During the review, the coach yells "We're running Gamma" and the players discuss. Wouldn't apply to Blatt because he's not a real coach, of course.
  2. That response was an insult to yuppies everywhere.
  3. One thing that is kind of weird on desktop is that the thread pages are listed on the opposite side as the thread title. Is there a way to get them next to each other? Makes it difficult to open to the most recent page, unless I'm missing something...
  4. Nothing about a former Illinois starter blasting the football program for abuse?
  5. This team has been realllllly frustrating to watch lately.
  6. Pretty sure the new software hasn't been made compatible with it based on this thread's conversation. I like Tapatalk, hope it gets used, but if not I'll get used to it. Board seems to be loading much faster, so that's pretty cool. Ah, got it. The new format is far superior to the old on mobile. But it's still too busy for my liking and takes longer to load. It wouldn't be the end of the world to lose Tapatalk but I definitely prefer its simplicity.
  7. Anyone else having issues with Tapatalk? Won't let me log in...
  8. well then they made a pretty big mistake by including mordecai brown, unless he's about 150 years old now. Ahh, there are actually different categories: Negro Leaguers, MLB Pioneers, and Living Players. ETA: The Living Players list: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/all_star/y2015/franchise_four.jsp?c_id=greatest_players
  9. I thought franchise 4 was best *living* players...
  10. Does that include Z's bat?
  11. You can't root for an athlete who is a [expletive] [expletive] outside of the field of play? Is DiCaro going after people who thought The Hangover was funny, too?
  12. Right Field sucks.
  13. Kinda. Naperville is a lot closer to Chicago than San Francisco is to San Jose. ETA: Then again, if we're including Valpo in Chicago's DMA... it's not a lot closer, it's 15 miles closer, and it ignores geography. saying san jose isn't part of the san fran-oakland metro is like saying evanston and tinley park are not part of the same metro area You say just 15 miles, I say over 40%. Evanston and Tinley Park literally border the city in question, so that's a gross simplification. You can certainly combine them and we are talking about baseball in this case, but it's not that cut-and-dried. The US Census applies a similar approach to Albuquerque and Santa Fe, Detroit and Ann Arbor, Buffalo and Rochester, Baton Rouge and Lafayette, Austin and San Antonio, Denver & CO Springs.

  15. The main DMA in question is in red http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/ce/San_Jose-San_Francisco-Oakland_CSA_2010_Census.png You're getting San Mateo county already, which is a large chunk of the valley. It's really not close unless you include San Jose and its burbs (the yellow part). Then it's about equal.
  16. I'm pretty sure the Houston metro has many millions more than San Fran metro. It's a juggernaut. It does. The only way it's close is if you call it Bay Area Metro and include San Jose and surrounding areas.. but San Jose is literally 50 miles away.
  17. ...then you went like 12-4 against the Cubs the rest of the way. Not gonna happen this year.
  18. He was really nice to me when I met him, but that was in 2009 when he wasn't a star. I too am overjoyed that he didn't sign an extension.
  19. Just voted 35x. Do your part, NSBB!
  20. Isn't he already too old and disappointing? It's still fairly easy to use his experience level as opposed to age to explain his results to this point. Yeah, that was a joke.
  21. Isn't he already too old and disappointing?
  22. That game was the [expletive]. Maybe the most fun I've attended this season. The aggressive baserunning is so much fun live.
  23. That team bus upholstering looks like [expletive].
