  1. If Locke is a soft-tosser at 92-93, Hendricks is a little leaguer. In my experience online every lefty who throws under 98 mph is labeled a soft tosser. He averages ~90 on his fb and his secondary pitches are a a 79mph curve and a 80 mph change. I'd call that soft.
  2. It was in May. #-o Well, it was cold and grey (and a bit foggy too, iirc), and Kerry might have had a perfecto if Kevin Orie had fielded that one hit cleanly. It was like 70 degrees that day.
  3. Kerry's not trained for radio and is probably a huge meatball -- I'd prefer to not hate him. I dont even know how to respond to everything wrong with that I don't really have a good reason to believe that he's above the ex-player meatball archetype. If you do, please let me know.

  5. Anyone else have an irrational fear of / hatred for soft-tossing lefties?
  6. One could argue that Larson's Perfect Game was the best single game outcome of all-time. But when you allow the other team to put 20 balls in play, it becomes more of a team effort.
  7. You didn't say you had never heard anyone say it was the unquestioned best game ever. You said you had never heard it called the best game ever. And many have called it that.
  8. To a Cards fan, "three true outcomes" = Father, Son, Darren Wilson
  9. Wow. I would have thought Carter was still playing, but the Hill homer probably is more recent than I'm giving it credit it for. Don't quote me on that though. I barely even remember Carter as a broadcaster, I just seem to have a recollection of folks here having mentioned it was Carter in that video. EDIT: Having listened to it it does sound like Dan Roan. PBP I think is definitely Chip Caray. The PBP was definitely Chip. I remember him making a really [expletive] annoying comment along the lines of "It's gotta be the shoes, folks. It's gotta be the shoes."
  10. Haha Pat is literally re-explaining what just happened.
  11. Coomer's pbp is soooooooooooooo bad. I mean, he just forgot to announce that a run scored.
  12. I think it looks a lot better on mobile than on tapatalk now. Anyone who disagrees is a chump. I agree with you, but as someone using a damn near 3 year old phone, opening up the forum on a mobile web browser vs. tapatalk is night and day. Tapatalk is fast to the point, but opening up on a mobile browser is laggy and slow. It's not the forum, it's the phone, I understand that. But does having Tapatalk enabled do something to the forum? Does it slow it down or make it weird or something aside from the quote issue? It's not just the phone. I have a newer phone and I still prefer Tapatalk's speed and simplicity.
  13. Actually, reading through that it looks like that update caused other problems. Yeah but it gets rid of the quote issues!
  14. You know what the best part about NSBB is? Voting in polls.
  15. With all due respect, yes. Even after the improvements, the mobile site is too busy for my liking and takes too long to load. Tapatalk is not without its warts but it wins in simplicity and load time. ETA: there's just a lot going on: http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/13/66e1862acf990e6f33825f03e4cad35e.jpg http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/13/0b514ec64d067a00fb82c2026985356a.jpg Is this what everyone else sees on each?
