    heh let's not ignore Pujols' elbow and the lost season they'll have once it finally blows. i'm just really not sold on their young talent whatsoever. they have a lot of work to do to be a formidable contender.

    i always liked Wellemeyer and I'm glad he's found success once given a chance to start and even better that it's a team that doesn't pose any threat to us in the standings and won't for a few years

    yeah one of those guys listed really sticks out don't forget carl crawford either .276/.323/.384 but 39 runs

    it's still the Tigers division to lose. i think they do it and by more than just a couple games.

    Except they already have a lot of talent that is already very good. Cordero, Dunn, Harang, Volquez, Phillips, Arroyo and I'd even say Votto and Bruce. Bailey, Encarnacion and Cueto are wild cards. At any rate, we'll still win the division, but the wild card isn't out of reach for them.

    Vina gushed about him because he's a "table setter/catalyst/etc.", all the things he envisioned himself as being during his playing days. This is the same as Schlereth fixated on offensive linemen, Jaworski fixated on QBs, Brantley fixated on closers and so on.

    i'm mostly indifferent to him, and there's a LOT of announcers i'd less rather listen to.

    it's beyond thinking he's a bad analyst. practically half of the sigs on here are quotes of his, there's a 26 page topic to bash him, and he's ceaselessly mentioned out of the blue such as in quotes earlier in this topic. there's dozens of broadcasters who are just as bad or worse, but he receives all of the hatred. because of his Sandberg comments? the Moneyball epilogue? i don't really understand it.

    then what are they paying him for? does he sit all day in the corner and just masturbate? my whole point was if this guy was such a shrewd talent evaluator, maybe they'd have acquired a decent player or two during his tenure. i wasn't much blaming anybody, i just said that team's roster is awful. jesus, i don't even care that much about the guy either way. what's with this weird allegiance anyways?

    i hate that the allstar game is based almost entirely on who has the hottest month and a half to open the season. ryan ludwick being talked about as an allstar is patently absurd. just vote for the best players at each position.

    Huh? He was asking about the triple play, not the triple steal. (And in this case it should be credited as a caught stealing and an error on who threw the ball. i didnt see the 2nd post that talked about the TP or hear about the triple play. they were probably ruled as steals because the runner on third beat the throw home, but the bobbling of the ball enabled the other two runners to steal 2nd and 3rd.
