Jones was a five tool talent playing the best defensive CF of our generation, and stayed consistent throughout an 11 year span with maybe 1 real outlier year. obvious laziness is so much more probable a culprit for his decline than steroid use, if you ask me.
i'd keep Prince Fielder Matt Holliday B.J. Upton Geo Soto Carlos Quentin Chad Billingsley Francisco Liriano and not think twice about it unless maybe to swap out Geo or Quentin with Kemp (4 OFs). Upton still provided fantastic OBP value for you in a injury-marred season. he's probably the first player on your entire list i'd keep. and for as many years as your league stays together. oh, you're also going to be kicking yourself in 2010 when Holliday is the best fantasy hitter in the world playing for Boston.
ROUND 2 1. Detroit: Cro Magnon - Michael Johnson, DE, Georgia Tech because their pass rush sucks. as a bonus, opposing QBs won't be able to throw over Johnson's giraffe neck.
might as well run with it, i don't think the real life consequences are going to be really dire if he whiffs on his pick or something. just do a mock GM meetings later on if he has buyers remorse about it.
I believe I was the first one to say he had an elbow injury way back last March or April. and you also said like two weeks ago "ah it was just a back problem, we're gonna live to rue this one" but why aren't you reminding us of that gaffe
