Yeah, that's true for some of the games, but probably not for this one. What are you disagreeing with? The ticket availability and price? Or the fact the dome sucks to watch football? I'm pretty sure he's saying the giving away of tickets won't be as rampant this week because of so many Bears fans being around to buy them. And that place isn't terrible to watch the game when the Rams are doing well and people are excited. I'll be right next to the Bears tunnel for the game by the way. Football should be played on God's green grass under His blue sky. It's stupid for places like St. Louis and Indianapolis to have domes. (Arizona is the only team that should be playing in a dome because of 100 degree temps in September and October.) I totally agree with you, and you probably know this, but it was the only way St. Louis was going to get a team. They needed a new convention center downtown, so the funding got wrapped into that. The money just isn't there to support spending $500M on a new, football-only stadium. And I'll tell you this: if the stadium was outdoors, attendance would plummet. Half the crowds at Rams games are bluehairs. They get mad at you if you stand up and cheer. It's like the expensive seats at Cardinal games. Plus, there's no history with this franchise and really no emotional connection, aside from their flash-in-the-pan a few years ago. If people here had to sit out in the cold, they wouldn't go. That's why I'm glad Chicago never built the Bears a dome attached to McCormick Place. I've sat in the lower bowl at a Rams game and it's amazing at how lame the crowd is down there. Rich, old people barely paying attention to the game. I've seen people told to sit down or even kicked out for standing and cheering on a defensive third down. I've seen people reading the newspapers or books sitting 10 rows from the field at the 50 yard line. When I was working down in St. Louis and went to some game, a lot more fun was had in the upper terrace where the real fans are.
