  1. Are there any cool baseball teams that I can start liking? I am really starting to hate the Cubs.
  2. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20060518&c tent_id=1460008&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc That 235 must look really good to the Cubs right now. I can't wait until the Royals release an old second basemen so the Cubs can pick him up. You mean Grudz?
  3. Not if Walker was hitting well. Then it would be an aberration.
  4. Does he really look like this? http://mlb.mlb.com/images/players/action/ph_400008.jpg
  5. No, a miracle would be yet to come - Slappy in the box. 3-run homer. I'm calling it. Juan Pierre will not hit another HR in his MLB career. I'm calling it. Juan Pierre will not hit a HR in a Cubs uniform, but he will hit 2 or 3 against us after he leaves.
  6. Neifi should have scored on that. I saw some dude do that in a softball game last night.
  7. When was the last time the Cubs came back from a 5 run deficit? If only Fred was here. Is he at the game? Call Wrigley and have him paged. He was...he's probably to drunk to recognize his own name now though. And somehow I doubt the Wrigley PA announcer is going to take me seriously when I ask for Fred Hornkohl to be paged... If only the PA announcer was an NSBB'er...

  9. Nice try. The Cards have already offered him to the Cubs for Rusch. We're just waiting for the perfect time to pull the trigger. Any truth that Rusch, like Hill, is another of Hendry's "untouchables"? Yes, but for totally different reasons. Hendry overvalues Hill and won't let him go, nobody wants to touch Fat Glen.

  11. Do we have to beat the real team, or does merely playing them warrant getting wet pants over beating the Nats?
  12. The problems with our bench are magnified by the ineptitude of the better part of our starting lineup.
  13. Nursing his no doubt. Cubs lose, 7-1. Kerry Wood accounts for the 1 with a double. Fatty Rusch accounts for the 7.
  14. Yes it is. How about just Cabrera and Tejada? Fine, I guess.
  15. http://www.BabeRuthActuallyHit914.com Somebody buy it, it's worth billions someday.
  16. I'm pretty sure he ate the interviewer immediately following.
  17. I'm asking for Cabrera, Tejada, and Craig Wilson. Is that too much?
  18. That's a mean mommy. Let the kid live! That's about the best opportunity most any young ballplayer can hope for. There's always time for real life later. I wish I didn't have a real life.
  19. I think it means you stood up once in the first place, then after that, you fall down and stand up 8 times, bringing your total falls to 8 and total stands to 9. But if that happens, you're just a klutz. If you were knocked down 8 times you are probably weak. Or really drunk
