  1. Who gives a crap? We're going to lose almost all of the games anyway.
  2. He had major surgery to repair his labrum and finally made his season debut as a pitcher. I had surgery on my labrum about 2 weeks after Kerry and made my softball debut the other night as a middle infielder. After playing catch to warm up and throwing a few soft tosses during the game, my shoulder was sore as hell Thursday, Friday, and part of Saturday. Kerry was likely feeling a lot of the same feelings. I'm fine now, and penciled in to play SS tonight. The moral to my story is, he isn't a wuss or a baby or soft. He'll be fine.
  3. The choices are messed up. Where is "He deserved it, but it will make the Cubs considerably worse"?
  4. A sucker punch doesn't come from face-to-face confrontation. Agree with it or not, but it was a clean hit.
  5. Until Buck can play 2B, he has no business on this team.
  6. Ditto. Bruce, if you happen to see this, can you put this bug in someone's ear? (and them slap them profusely until they make something happen)
  7. They are not the same player. Womack's actually a little bit better.
  8. While I know it would never happen, how funny would it be to turn on a Cubs game to see NOBODY in the stands?
  9. Dear Andy and Jim, I understand the frustrations you feel with Paul Sullivan. Over the years, he has given us all reasons to raise an eyebrow and utter the occasional obscenity. I have put together a comprehensive guide on how to get Mr. Sullivan and others to stop being critical of you and your teams. Please follow the steps below: 1. Stop putting together really crappy teams full of overpaid mediocre talent and have no shot at doing anything to get themselves even remotely close to resembling a good team. 2. Repeat step 1 Thank you, that is all.
  10. Neifi, I'm not wishing death on you, but please get injured for the rest of the year. You are, without a doubt, THE most useless player I have ever seen. And this includes Jose Macias. It is funny that it's almost always one of our best players that misses an extended amount of time.
  11. I say yes because he's now hitting around 100 points lower.
  12. Fixed. He only has 5 save chances. No, not fixed. He has not been very good this season. By what standard? ERA, given up 6 HRs, saved only 3 of 5. He's got a good WHIP and decent K rates, but he's getting hit hard when he gets hit. He's just not been as good this year.
  13. Fixed. He only has 5 save chances. No, not fixed. He has not been very good this season.
  14. The Tigers are still hot. Plenty of room on the Justin Verlander for AL ROY bandwagon! That BandWGN crap has to stop. At least when I started it, it was the simple and classy "bandwagon". I think I'm going to narrow it down to around 5 teams and pick them from a hat. It'll have to be an AL team, though. I grew to hate all of the NL teams more when I was a Cubs fan.
  15. What happened to Cordero this year? He really hasn't been very good. Yes, I realize by saying that he will make short work of the Cubs from this moment on.
  16. Pujols: First off, how is that mouthing off? Secondly, he is an American citizen. In order to apply for such, you need your birth certificate. He obviously presented that. Since his emergence in baseball, people have investigated the validity of his birth date. Nobody has found anything to prove it is false. Get off it. So..where's that birth certificate located exactly? A rival high school in KC asked for it and he couldn't produce one. The Cards questioned him about a few years ago and he couldn't produce it for them. But please feel free to post a link to it here. He knows that the player's union won't allow him to be tested for roids and certainly not HGH. For him to bring it up and then know that testing can't be done is chicken. Like I said he's a very good player, but he just needs to keep quiet and play ball. His opinions about Bonds are misguided and uninformed. He is hurting himself by speaking up. Hello pot? Kettle calling.
  17. So instead of weak groundouts to second he would have hard groundouts to second. Or pop-outs to RF.
  18. Which one? Pierre ended the 3-run inning by GIDP, Neifi ended the 1st and 3rd with a pop-out to 3rd.
