  1. Those were just examples of how it would not necessarily be stupid to trade Zambrano, just as you asked. If a player of Z's stature came available, I think you'd be surprised what names would fly around in an attempt to get him.
  2. I'd like to see him hit the 130-140 range and then be given the rest of the summer off.
  3. Trading Carlos Zambrano for Bernie Williams = dumb baseball Trading Carlos Zambrano for Miguel Cabrera = not so dumb Trading Carlos Zambrano for Joe Mauer + Francisco Liriano = smart, smart baseball (not happening, but it would be smart)
  4. 9-1, 1.99 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 10.4 K/9, 4.7 K/BB, 546 OPSA ^^^ Against ML teams. Who cares if he didn't pitch against X or Y?
  5. Can people point me to something that shows Neifi to be excellent defensively?
  6. How is Fitzgerald 31? My God, I'm getting old.
  7. Black Magic Woman vs Elkjowj lkjaosur vnlsairnsl
  8. How the crap are we only a half game better than the Royals?!?!
  9. That's harsh. Barry Sanders is one of the most humble professional athletes in history as well as being one of the most talented. Barry walked away from the game partly because Payton's rushing record meant very little to him. He did the same in high school when he got within 30 yards or so of the league's rushing title. He felt Rodney Peete deserved the Heisman. While playing, he was notorious for not cashing paychecks and lived in a $175,000 home. Barry Sanders was a lot of things, a quitter is not one of them.
  10. You take away 1 of those hits, and he was only at 200 for the game.
  11. Translated: Baker is a terrific manager only if he is loaded with talent.
  12. Thats what I was thinking. Same here.
  13. You're way off -- it was 97. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
  14. I would have thought that living this nightmare every day for a couple of months would make a statement like that not hurt so much.
  15. He could have played RF, LF, 1B, 3B, 2B, SS. A healthy Nomar is better offensively than nearly our entire team.
  16. I'm confused -- isn't the Stones' front man "The Flaming Lips"?
  17. Wow...why waste precious time voting? I fail to see what the big deal of this is. WE HATE THE Sox!!1!11 CANT HAVE NUTHER Sox ON THE ALSTAR GAEM!11!!11
  18. Congratulations, Jake. We knew they had it in 'em.
  19. It would be cool if Chicago got a 2nd baseball team during the next expansion.
  20. I'm voting like crazy for Liriano and Hafner. Both deserve it.
