  1. Boy, do you have a lot of movies to watch.
  2. Get 2 more and Pinktermite will be happy.
  3. 100M should be enough to build a solid 1-8 and pitching staff. Not when you lose two aces to injuries it isn't. OBP isn't cheap nowadays, niether is SLG. How many legit aces were traded or acquired in the past season? Those guys aren't replaceable. Playoff teams: New York Mets $101,084,963 Los Angeles Dodgers $98,447,187 St. Louis Cardinals $88,891,371 Detroit Tigers $82,612,866 San Diego Padres $69,896,141 Minnesota Twins $63,396,006 Oakland Athletics $62,243,079

  5. why soriano in CF? has he ever played there before? Didn't he play CF when he was with the Yankees? I could be wrong, just thought I remembered him playing there some. As per baseball-reference Soriano has never played CF in his major league career. They wanted him to move there, he ended up in Texas before it could happen.
  6. 100M should be enough to build a solid 1-8 and pitching staff.
  7. Jim's words come off as if he's just blowing smoke and being nice. Generally I agree, but that part scares the hell out of me.
  8. None of the above.
  9. I think you're ridiculously overvaluing ARod and what he will offer to a team over the next 4-5 years as he declines vs what Zambrano would offer the same team over the same years as he improves.
  10. Yes, #1 got us Andruw Jones - viewtopic.php?t=35483 #2 got us hosed - viewtopic.php?t=35654
  11. Half a depleted farm system for one of the two best shortstops...ever. Where do I sign? 2 upsides: we get ARod, and we're forced to restock the farm.
  12. They booed Santa Clause, that's all you need to know It wasn't that great of a movie, to be fair. What movie? That actually happened.
  13. Izturis with a 320 OBP? Bwahahahahaha!
  14. There's got to be something we're missing. Either that or Jim actually did something smart this past season.
  15. With the "rumblings" about him and steroids a couple of months ago, would the price tag even be that steep?
  16. Huh? There was some stuff in the papers about Lofton and Sosa not getting along and that there might have been some clubhouse chemistry issues down the stretch in 2003. I don't know who was at fault or what really happened, but Hendry might not be interested in Lofton because of that. Hmm, never heard a peep about Kenny being at odds with anyone.
  17. ?? I think he was joking, saying that since the Cubs are obviously going to get Tejada and ARod, you shouldn't have Theriot and Izturis in the lineup. Yes, what he said.
  18. You seriously think Izturis will beat out ARod? Theriot being picked over Tejada at 2B had me laughing, then I got to SS.
  19. Mark O'Neal is the trainer, he hasn't been the one diagnosing anything with pitchers. That honor falls on Stephen Gryzlo, team physician, who is seemingly getting by with no criticism.
