  1. Crede over ARod. The Yankees should dump him on Sweet Lou RIGHT NOW.
  2. Ichiro is moving to CF because they have a RF.
  3. What is a swift kick to the sack? I'll take The Obvious for $1000.
  4. Good deal -- I was thinking base 2-3 with incentives up to 6.
  5. Don't do this to me...... Well, if it was on ESPN 1000, it would have been all over this board. Do posters here actually listen to ESPN 1000?
  6. When Aram is a Dodger next week my point will be more clear. You don't have a point. No. You just don't agree with my point. Firing a 2nd dart at the Wade Miller board before securing Aram irks me. You do realize that negotiations can take place with several players at once, don't you? It's not as though ironing out a deal for Wade Miller is taking 14 hours a day.
  7. 1. Matsuzaka 2. Schmidt 3. Zito
  8. In this market? yes. There's lots of teams with money and few players worth spending it on. My guess is he'll get an extra year. I'd look at Drew signing a 4/50 contract. If he stays healthy, that would be a bargain.
  9. Do the Yankees have any shot at all at Schmidt or Zito? Both are rumored to prefer the left coast. Wheelbarrows full of money tend to sway a person's decision, but I don't see it happening for those two. They'll get a wheelbarrow full of money no matter who they sign with. I think the Yankees have a legitimate shot at both. I'm not buying the west coast bias with either.
  10. Doesn't the leading contender change once it's determined which teams lost out on Matsuzaka? Will Matsuzaka losers turn to Igawa or Zito and Schmidt? I think the latter.
  11. Not likely. If either threw 180 innings with an ERA+ around 105-115, they'd help this staff. I think Padilla is most likely to accomplish that. Sure, more likely than Meche, but check out his past 3 seasons. I'd pass.
  12. How does adding 2 pitchers that, at their best, are average help? Padilla and Meche could be replaced with just about any 2 names in our organization in 2007 and get the same results. It would once again be an example of overpaying for mediocrity by signing either.
  13. Doesn't he live in Arizona? During the offseason. I think he lives there full time. No, he's been living in Chicago during the season.
  14. No, we need good pitchers. If we just need people to throw the ball, they might as well give me a call.
  15. Ishii also wasn't good his first 2 seasons. Terrible is a very subjective term, I guess.
  16. Vick
  17. Those question marks have been there for years -- getting "scooped" here doesn't really do anything more.
  18. Doesn't he live in Arizona? During the offseason.
  19. Sounds good. Count me in the broke crowd, though.
  20. Yes! Glenallen >>>>>>> Kent
  21. After my dominating performance a year ago, I'm surprised anyone would dare challenge me this season. Only kidding, as my record will attest.
  22. Hey Ronny, would it kill you to remember how to hit a baseball?
