What do you mean has his roster been set? abuck said he could make some preliminary moves to add FAs so he has a keeper worth keeping. that said, i'm not sure playoff rosters ever got reset back to pre-playoff Sunday lock date. That would need to be done first.

I can see both sides on Strong (assuming the one side isnt purely hate). Though Red Mccomb owned the Vikings and they had a really quick trigger on Denny Green but who knows. Strong did a good job restoring Louisville's program and deserves creedit for bringing in and coaching a future #1 choice. But I can see being unsatisfied with the hire iff you are texas and you expected Jim Harbaugh or Saban to take the job. As unrealistic as that was, you'd consider Strong a huge dissapointment in that company. He thought a black head coach whose down awesome at Louisville would make a good position coach. He thought Texas could literally hire anyone that wanted to. He's both delusional and racist. His is not a side I can see.

How could he lock in a 20k payday? FSU was like -400. [expletive], forgot they were that big of favorites and the money line was that high. He still could have locked in a good chunk regardless. read elsewhere that the final moneyline was -360, so even a $10k hedge would have cost $36,000.

It's bloody 2014 already. What does that have to do with anything? The season is 3 months away and no one has even talked about it. So rather than make a simple post here suggesting that trading begin, you start working out deals? There was clearly discussion here about it at the end of the season and adam had said we'd wait until some point in the future. Why would you start making deals instead of bring it up here?

Hang on there... Stumbling block could be Clint Hurtt. Heard he is also a candidate at Miami and might prefer S Florida. Texas would never go for Hurtt and that would have been clear during the negotiations. Have a hard time thinking he is the reason. Strong did this last year too. Wouldn't be shocked if he prefers the Miami gig. Still some crazy fans/alum, but that's his recruiting base.

I don't know. I think he writes a pretty compelling case, and the things that were said to him by his coaches is disturbing and unacceptable, but in terms of linking what was said/done to him and his release from the Vikings, there are 2 sides to every story. Either way, he's certainly blackballed now. our punter was pretty much decapitated, surely he had a place on the bengals roster if he wasn't blackballed. yeah, why wouldn't any team want to sign a pro-bowl punter? Blackballed or whatever you want to call it, I'm sure he got cut and wouldn't be signed by another team because of his vocal support for gay rights. Whether they're homophobic or just don't want to deal with the distraction for something as easily (and cheaply) replaceable as a veteran punter, I don't know, probably varies by team. But he surely ended his career today. -
He also feasted on some absolutely putrid OOC opponents. We're not talking your typical bad BCS conference teams or even MAC. We're talking Howard, Texas Southern, Norfolk State, N Carolina Central, etc.
